  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Frunk speakers "Party Mode"

Love this idea! Zone 1 for frunk and zone 2 for rear. Useful depending on how you have to park when tailgating. Of course both zones can be play at once ?

Offer it with a gas motor

I hear ya, and respect your stance. It's a common take. I would challenge you to seek out the Scout Motor tour when it comes around area. See it in person to give it a chance. You might just 'change' your mind.

    That's interesting.

    Ideas for Scout Engineers

I believe the batteries will be smaller. I don't think it was official from SM, but I overheard at some point to expect 150ish range on batteries and the rest of the overall 500 mile range would be from the range extender charging the batteries. Batteries are still the only power to the...

    What did you reserve?

An interesting take with regards to a few years till they roll off the assembly line. My appreciation for the option is primarily for the truck version and being able to tow further.

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

Yes, but the question I didn't ask was wireless?

    Terra - Roof Top Option

Agree on size, but don't know what is needed for the mechanics of the cabana?? The Traveler had more room behind the opening to potentially accommodate it. I do hope it can be an option in the Terra!

First Post - New Preordered - Excited to get my hands on this

Compressor gauge @J Alynn is referring to can be seen top right, on the back fire wall (guess it doesn't need to be called that anymore :ROFLMAO:)

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

I was curious on wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto too and forgot to ask. Did anybody else think to verify this?

    Switches and Knobs?

I spoke with the Chief Interior Designer for a bit to get some clarification on buttons/knobs. Picture #1 The knob on the right is your HVAC temp control (don't have to worry about it being touch screen). The desired temp is displayed just above it on the screen and adjust as the knob is...

    Switches and Knobs?

Their display of the touch screen did show you being able to move things around as you see fit.

What does the roof of the truck look like?

Huge piece of glass and did not open

    Terra - Roof Top Option

The glass roof top option looked amazing! Curious if anyone has seen or heard if the cabana top will also be an option on the Terra? That would be my choice if given the option.

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

@Jamie@ScoutMotors one thing I questioned afterwards regarding the Harvester option was the charging rate. It might be to early to know these details, but at the end of the 500 mile range does the vehicle then require a charge or does the owner have the option to put more gas in it and keep...

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

Didn't see this detail till later when I was looking through my photos, but a nice subtle touch with the combine in the field on the Harvester door.

Offer it with a gas motor

I'm not looking to create another back and forth on this topic, but do want to mention of few things as a self respecting, non bun hair, non hipster (gotta admit I do like my flannels this time of year though :) ) Scout II owner/enthusiast: I enjoy the hell out of my old Scout and am not...

    Ideas for Scout Engineers

I'll put another vote in for a lot of these - ✅ add rear bumper corner built-in steps to allow access to stepping up into the truck bed, similar to the Chevrolet Silverado/Colorado. * I use this a lot on my current Chevy truck and agree it would be nice to have on the Terra for sure, and...

    Wireless charging

I know the issue with this on our cell phones is the fact that wireless takes longer to charge. I was surprised to read this within your link provided. I agree this would be slick, especially when building a new house and planning for one before placing the garage slabs. Maybe if nothing...

    Scout Security System?

I found out this past Christmas that dashcams are a big want for the younger generations (daughter in high school informed me).
