  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

what's this in bed of Terra

So I'll admit when I'm thinking wrong. I wanted storage in the bed and/or frunk so that I could do away with a tool box. I didn't want things rolling around in the frunk. I would rather see them in a compartment so they didn't roll around. Seeing the talk of this Molley system, something I'm...

    Re-think Headlight Design

The grill and headlights were where my focus was as it came out. Immediately I was disappointed not to see the SSII round head light look. However, seeing it in person quickly won me over. I now think they nailed it with a 2027 look! I have struggled with the Chevy truck front end look...

    Super Bowl Commercial?

I remember a time when Superbowl commercials were the hit of the night and talked about more than the game the next day. Who thinks that anymore? It is more of a build up and let down for everyone these days. Scout could have that great commercial that gets everyone talking the next day...

    Super Bowl Commercial?

I'd subscribe to that. I'd love to even see a progress documentary the factory coming together as well.

    Online Purchasing Dashboard

What if you used the iconic (but new aged) speedometer at the top of the website page when you go to purchase your new Scout. The numbers however represent the price as you go through the steps of building your Scout on line. It could start as an original speedometer and fade into the new one...

    Scout Groupie Merch

If the Traveler and Terra tour locations and dates can be finalized (before Christmas ;) ;) ), how about a Scout t-shirt similar to a rock band shirt listing locations and a dates of the tour. It should start off with the October 24th date of coarse. Us Scout Motor groupies, would love to...

Please put extender in back and give biggest frunk possible!

Yes there is a compartment under the seat. It has the ability to used as a cooler with a drain. I would look to keep it fairly clean, but could use it for some things in-between tailgating ? . I was primarily looking for more compartments to store away those things that stay in the frunk.

Charge port at front, passenger side

If they don't already, the apps that show which chargers to stop at on your road trip, should have a "trailer friendly" option to select. Maybe even something similar to what Google Maps does by having the app ask "was this charging station trailer friendly?" to help build that data.

    Lessons Learned on Range Anxiety

Google says a it will take 4-10 hours to charge and EV on an L2 chargers, which to me is overnight. If you roll in to a hotel at 8pm, are you expected to disconnect and move your EV at 1 or 2 in the morning? What is considered rude within the EV community? I myself would be looking to plan...

    Lessons Learned on Range Anxiety

From what I understand the rapid charging cost more. If you're not in a hurry to charge and keep going; it just seems that an overnight stay with an overnight charge makes sense. Just my simple mind thinking here. I don't know (sure someone on here does), but I would think that rapid chargers...

    Lessons Learned on Range Anxiety

Fair point. I guess my mind went to the fact that fast charging is harder on your batteries. Hotels that set up and advertise for overnight charging would be appealing for that reason, and knowing in the morning you can simply hit the road.

    Lessons Learned on Range Anxiety

Valet is an interesting take. Would that be the ultimate solution for hotels. If you're an EV owner and want a charge, you use our EV valet service. They monitor and move around the vehicles as needed.

What do you love or hate about other off-road vehicles

I do second the camera quality being important. I don't have experiance with R1T's, but there is a huge difference in many of the vehicles I hop in. I do hope cameras are more on the HD side than the tube tv.
