  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Duck, Duck......Scout?

So my high school daughter drives a Jeep Wrangler and loves it! She also enjoys having these damn ducks on her dash that drive me crazy. I'm always giving her a hard time about them, but she enjoys the connections made with other Jeep owners. I realized I'm in the wrong on this one. Why...

    Dealerships Are Dying

No idea on what Scout Motors approach on this topic will be, but I passed a cool old brick building the other day as you approach downtown Kansas City with a faintly painted "International Harvester" on it. It got me thinking, what a cool place for a Scout Motors Hub! ....which then got me...

Give it a (y) or a  if you would like it as a Scout color.

    Super Scout Package

I saw Kia's new dash had digital side mirrors (personally not a fan of the round look) and it got me thinking about a 2026 approach to the Super Scout set up. Maybe this could be an option for when the doors are off (assuming the Bronco mount style isn't used). This would reduce the risk of...

What would Jamie and Chris like to see in a Launch Edition?

Maybe a Limited Launch Edition with all the factory bells and whistles. Then a Basic Launch Edition for the average Joe. A while back it was suggested to have accessories that are ordered when ordering your Scout online, but chosen to be boxed up and put in the frunk for delivery. The idea...

    Daily Driver Comforts

To add to this... I learned today on my truck that if I hop out on a cold winter day and keep the truck running the horn honk, when reaching the desired tire pressure, does not work. The horn notification should be active as long as vehicle is in park.

    Is EV demand really tanking?

Scout Motors, this kept me thinking about the lunch break within your Scout road trip software. Out of curiosity I plugged in the below trip, thinking western Kansas would be limited with charging stations. On this 7 hour trip it shows a couple 30+ minute stops. If I was to make this trip, I...

    Is EV demand really tanking?

The Scout will be my first EV, so I can't speak from experience like some on here. This is a common concern a lot of us have, but I don't know that a 3 hour charge is at all realistic. @Rustic_father posted this a while back...

    Trailer / Towing Discussion

3/4 ton vs 1/2 ton - ICE vs EV...... Something I have been thinking about lately is the differences between a 3/4 and a 1/2 ton truck and how those differences relate to an EV truck. I've watched a few YouTube videos on EV trucks pulling trailers and they report that they do a great job...

    Old School Scouts

Finished my Scout II shop speakers tonight. Found some 6.5 LED speakers on Amazon that had the 7" outside diameter like the original headlights. My wife printed some headlights on a white t-shirt for me. I stretched it over the speakers for a true headlight look. The speakers themselves are...

    Camping / Overland Ideas

I know we have had the talk a number of times regarding the advantages/disadvantages of suspension types, but the camping mode self leveling was never brought to the table. That is a unique option the air suspension can offer.

    Camping / Overland Ideas

With the typical Scout enthusiast likely to venture off road, I figured a thread throwing out ideas on just that might be useful. I found myself watching the below video today, which had a couple ideas to think about. The Tesla apparently has a "Camping Mode". *What functions would you the...

    Is EV demand really tanking?

I have always wondered why a few of the national restaurant chains don't take the approach of installing rapid charging stations at all of their restaurants. Then within their app, allow the user to reserve time slots for charging. Once they advertised it, I would think they would get a steady...

    Daily Driver Comforts

I agree, but am cautious of this. We purchased a new door lock for our front door that is suppose to recognize your phone when you approach and unlock. Problem is half the time it didn't work. The family got frustrated with it, so we eventually got rid of it and installed a push button combo...

    Scout Design Ideas

I agree, but I think the issue becomes the fact it will be a 4 door. That makes for a really short bed, or a long wheel base that most on here want to avoid with the SUV version. The multiple options was a great feature of the original Scout! ....would be cool to see it return

Small Things Matter: Charger Port Lighting

Circling back to the interchangeable accessories idea from past post....I like the idea of the Scout owner installing what he/she would want to use. Ports in the dash can accept a snap in USB-C port or the old school one. I might add, make sure that the slower charging (1amp) is not even an...
