  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Carpet floor mats

We go to the beach a lot so we always purchase all weather mats, easy to dump the sand. When it is time for a new vehicle I clean up the car put the unused carpet mats in and it looks brand new.

Scout Warns VW Dealers Fighting Direct Sales That It’s Not Playing Around

Some people think these new companies will destroy the dealer networks. But the truth is, the dealers are hurting their own networks by providing poor service and sneaky pricing.

    Paddle Shifters For Adjusting Regen

The paddle shifters in my new Lincoln take a little of the screen from the drivers view. That's my 2 cents worth.

    Ideas for Scout Engineers

I was thinking, what if we could slide the rear seats forward to fill the gap between the front and back seats? Then, we could recline the rear seats back flat. Of course, this might make it a bit tricky to lay the front bench flat if that becomes an option. What do you think?

    Traveler without rear tire carrier

I concur wholeheartedly. I envisioned a scenario where the carrier could be effortlessly removed without attracting theft, maybe a key lock in the hinge.. Then an optional panel could be designed to snap securely into place when the carrier is detached.

    Traveler without rear tire carrier

Looks like they will be inserting a panel of some sort in the middle of the lift gate if you don't have the tire carrier. Thanks again.

    Traveler without rear tire carrier

Has anyone come across a photo of the rear of Traveler with the wheel carrier extended and the rear hatch closed? I’m curious to see what the rear might look like without the tire on the back. I can’t seem to find any photos that match my description.

They don't seem to have the specs on there page, just for the 28 foot and up. I was wondering what this 20Xe's weigh is with LP and Batteries.
