  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Door lock keypad

Personally, I find the keypad to be a convenient feature, eliminating the need to carry a separate key. My previous Lincoln vehicles have incorporated a concealed keypad located within the driver’s door b-pillar. A gentle touch activates the keypad, illuminating it. When keys are inserted into...

There was a discussion about the tire size that would fit under the bed, maybe 33" max. Traveler swing-arm will hold a 35"

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

One of the first couple videos had a conversation about this topic, I will see if I can find it. I may be mistaken.

    Michigan 800

I think everyone would enjoy watching your restoration project if you don't mind posting a few pictures along the journey. I personally think it would be great.

Very nice 800. It appears to be in quite good shape to do a restoration project on.

There has been a lot of talk recently about the 12V battery. It seems this is a big consumer issue in both gas and EV vehicles. https://insideevs.com/news/752720/ev-12-volt-battery-problems/

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I agree. My 2024 Lincoln has placed a row of icons across the bottom of the touch screen for climate and heated/cooled seating for both driver and passenger that are always visible. While these do the job I prefer the good old buttons.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

The EA113, EA888 & EA211 are all very similar in size. However, the EA113 is only about 115hp and, the EA888 is about 137hp. I am sure there is a calculation for what is needed to keep the batteries charged and vehicle moving down the road at 70mph simultaneously. I just don't know it.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

There are plenty of 2.0L dry-sump kits that work well. But between adding an oil tank and requiring some kind of take-off point I think this would just over complicates the design. But it is doable.
