  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Driving Sounds

None. I love the silence and connecting with nature. I bought really nice floor mats and quieter tires to reduce that noise.

    33 Months of EV driving...

Not noticeable. My freeway is 75. 70 to 75 isn’t much change but you start an exponential curve. 75 to 80 is steeper, 80 to 85 is steeper still, etc.

    33 Months of EV driving...

I’m a seven year EV driver , two different Teslas. Aggregate about 200,000 miles. Started living in Houston, last three years in Fargo, ND. I’ve made a lot of long trips, most recently Fargo to Yellowstone (there for ten days). You never regret having more range. Ever. No one has ever said...

The Price Gap Between EVs And ICE Cars Is Shrinking Fast

Gap is even smaller when you include five years of maintenance cost. No oil changes, anti freeze, etc.

    EV Information Resource

PlugShare is really good for finding plugs, and can be filtered by plug type (NACS, J1772, etc) with driver checking and reviews (which is helpful). I always have a 100ft commercial grade extension cord “just in case” along with my adapters. Tesla super chargers, most of them, cannot yet be...

    North Dakota Scouts

Well…hoping I won’t be all by myself for long, lol. Any other North Dakota Scout reservationists?

    Jeep Recon

The broncos are cute…sorry to hear they’re problematic. There’s no EV option though so not tempted…the Scout seems like a dream for me, especially with the EREV tech. Ram was thinking their EREV truck would hit US market in 2025 but don’t know if that’s still on track.

    Jeep Recon

Doors off for off-roading is nice because you can see terrain, also easier to hop in and out. Even city Jeeps will have a metal bar type door in summer. It’s not uncommon though I wouldn’t say the majority of Jeeps. This Jeep came with soft doors. The upper section lifted free of the bottom...

    Accessories Poll For Scouts

What a Scout Traveler would replace

Well, 2027-28 is a ways away but I might sell Lucy or might keep both depending on what the service options for Scout are at delivery…hoping at least for Minneapolis and mobile service but might need a backup car. My past vehicles have included a Geo Storm, 1975 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, 1999...

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

I’m a Tesla gal, and I do love the car, but looking forward to the Scout and EREV tech. But I’m definitely all for learning and improving on other car brand features:). A lot of the stuff on Lucy are cutesy features I can happily do without but there are some gems like camp mode. Love your...

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

You’ll be surprised how much you can grow to like it. It takes a lot of energy to stay between the lines. I am much less fatigued, even after a relatively short three hour drive…so I can enjoy my destination more:). Adaptive cruise speeds and slows with traffic…weirdly the best use case for me...

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

FSD is pretty useless. I’m a seven year Tesla owner and features like Summon actually work worse now than a few years ago, lol. Not worth the time and effort. Auto steer and adaptive cruise are fine. A lot of features in my current car are cutesy but not worth the engineering time in my...

    Accessories Poll For Scouts

Accessories that are best done OEM rather than aftermarket would def include the air compressor and tent. It’d be helpful to have a grill guard that’s not obnoxiously huge and heavy but protective against deer. I’d recommend that, to degree possible, keep weight down to keep range up. For those...
