  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

The only way I would even consider it is if it was like the way my friend ordered her BMW. She went to the dealership, clicked all the boxes, and they built it to her specs. Then I would just pick it up at the factory. But if there’s any kind of dealer markup or ridiculousness nope nope nope...

I really think Stevie looks like a Silky. I have had two in the past. She’s only 5 pounds right now and the vet said she should be 7. So that’s at the low end of a Silky. Someday if I get really curious we will get one of those tests. For now the focus is putting some weight on her little...

Awh. The breeder who turned her in said she’s a Yorkie. I have my doubts.

I can’t stand dealers around here that put the name of the dealer on the back. I have told them all when we were purchasing they did that, the deal was over.

Stevie isn’t quite up to making it the length of her sister Fred’s walks just yet. So for the time being I have a 5 pound weighted “vest” when I walk.

Welcome to the community! They definitely do need to do that and think they already have in a lot of ways with the physical buttons and knobs and everything not being in a touch screen. Having seen them in person twice it’s definitely an experience. They definitely have a presence...

Okay then I’ll chime in too. When I met Jamie in Chicago in December he said they would be coming back to Chicago soon and it would be done right. @Jamie@ScoutMotors any idea when Chicago will be happening?

    Delivery Options

That’s what I am expecting. I’m expecting those of us on the forum to not need a whole lot of education. Especially the ones that go later. Those first owners are going to be posting everything on here I would imagine.

Oh boy, I thought hey Stevie is an adult dog. We shouldn’t have to get up in the middle of the night. She’s doing pretty darn well. Goes so sleep in her crate from 9 to 4:30 in the morning, but boy oh boy I’m not ready for this to be the norm. Also the rescue said Yorkie. I think they are...
