  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Duck, Duck......Scout?

An app built like Waze could identify other Scouts and their locations if enabled. I always thought that Broncos should have something similar that would wink headlights at each other as they ( the vehicles) encounter each other.

    Duck, Duck......Scout?

So do the county mounties as it is even illegal to hang dice or graduation tassels from your mirror

    No regenerative braking!!!!!!!

Then for those of us who are specific brained they should not label it "single pedal" if there are 2 pedals.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

You still need some facilitation of final prep from transport and in some states slapping an inspection sticker on the windshield. Plates you can get at most notary but a free full charge on the battery has to come from a dealer lol

    Interior accent color

If we are goin full retro the dash would be body color metal and the safety police would not allow it. Now if a properly padded and airbag filled dash could look like it was steel/aluminum and was same color of the vehicle......

    Summer Reveal

At bronco 6g we suggest using a big cardboard box to test out the accident avoidance warning system

    Summer Reveal

If it is at the new production facility I can be there

    No regenerative braking!!!!!!!

I have no problem with regenerative braking or regenerative anything. First Cub Cadets from IHC I grew up on combined starter and generator into a single unit. I am leery however of single pedal since how do you slam on the brakes. By rocking the pedal into "reverse " with diminished foot power...

    Power Source

Welcome to the forum , Wise, but your argument analogy is if Tesla wanted to sell 1,800,000 units per year they have to offer gas and diesel ( they sold 1.8 million EVs in 2023) And BYD sold a paltry 1.3 million. Americans purchased 1.2 million full EVs last year and you still can count the...

    Scout Supply Merchandise Live

What exactly is a shacket? A jacket that only fits Shaq? Might wait on shirts that have something (like final vehicle rendition) on the back Hoping the motto on the mug, " Go first, go farther" means best range in class

    Starting the Scout

Phones, especially Galaxy S10 (due for an upgrade) lose charge and if you are 100% dependant on your phone as thd key and phone is dead you are stuck. My new ICE powered BMW comes with a wallet card that can be programmed to be the only key needed. I am sure an EV could do same. My laptop...

    General EV Ideas

    1. I have been a proponent of integrated wheel motors ever since they were invented by VWs founder back around 1898 ( I was not around for anotherv50+ years). Saves on moving parts and sprung weight. 2. Batteries are just heavy heavy heavy and adding too much battery weight calls for higher...

I wan to join the TEAM

Your best opportunity might be later when actual line workers are being hired. Maybe below your station but once in the door and performing above and beyond you will get noticed. But with ztesla and Rivian laying off tons there are now tons of workers with actual EV experience that may get...

    Starting the Scout

Hah, when we started remodeling our 200 year old farmhouse 35 years ago all the wall switches were push button (installed 75 years before that)

    Starting the Scout

None of my vehicles have red buttons. The new X4 button is beside the gearshift and I keep reaching for the dash where the old one was. Let's get radical and ask for an actual key to turn. Not one you insert as the vehicle would only start with keyfob inside but a twistable key goes along with...

    MAX RANGE

A lot depends on of course pricing but also styling/design. It needs to look the part of an offroader if it is going to be one. If it looks too pretty it will look breakable

Did you ever see the Bollinger pass through setup that only got to prototypes? Fold down panels front and rear and you could haul 20' 2x4s between the seats. The firewall serves as crush zone protection

Good point. How much could be saved with a heated cabin delete Or heaven forbid, VW reaches into the wayback pack and gives us gasoline fired heaters similar to the first Beetles
