  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Frunk Focus

Maybe on some models do away with the frunk.in favor of a cab forward or van design. A frunk is created because designers cannot think outside the traditional 3 box design. Engine bay- passenger bay-luggage bay.

Are EV's scared to embrace the option to upgrade your car?

This past weekend has highlighted some major EV shortcomings in below zero temps and the advantages of still having an ICE vehicle as backup

    Ideas for the scout pickup

Is that any different than Ford offering Broncos under 40k but to get a Raptor starts at 93k?. Other than lack of horsepower and removable roof and doors the Grenadier won't outprice the Bronco Raptor. It is unfortunate that the Quartermaster will get slapped with the Chicken Tax making it...

    Ideas for the scout pickup

Granted there are more front end Collison rules to comply with compared to the 50s-70s but consider for a moment.....VW has a long history with Cab forward designs be it truck or van. Jeep had a very intriguing FC ( forward cab) pickup. Ford and Dodge had successful forward cab pickup variants...

It's the Scouts who answer the call...

It was established at the beginning of Scout Motors journey that the end products would be 100% EV. And that they would be capable and innovative for the designated environment. They may not be the first EV SUV or truck. You can buy a Wrsngle XE or a Ford 150 Lightning but each could have its...

    Scout pickup concept

Love your concepts although I think you may be stuck in the confines of the original 80 and 800. I am expecting a greenhouse at least as wide as the doors. While the upper door curve gives depth ypu might be losing as much as a foot of shoulder room. With higher strength internals doors do not...

    Learn from the Bronco

I believe the answer is as simple as having a 2" receiver at each end of vehicle, with an appropriate plug be it Anderson, Hella or NATO; sufficient gauge and fused for a winch. Most important might be for the front where people might leave the winch for extended periods is either relocating or...

    Running boards/Step rails-what’s everybody’s preference?

My OBX has running boards but standard tires. I am only 5 10. And a half. And I have found the seat and floorboard height. Convenient enough that I do not use the running boards for ingress or egress but my 5'4 wife uses them as passenger or driver. And our dog appreciates the flat running...

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

Ford even promised promoted concept of Bronco specific outbuildings. Not seeing that. Certainly the existing VAG network would be a promising Starr But look at over half of Buick dealers taking a buyout rather than invest in EV only Branding. Ineos is hooking up with whomever shows interest...

    Learn from the Bronco

Size or lack of oversize is tantamount. Bronco-Defender-discovery- Pathfinder-wrangler-are a better size than Explorer-Grand Wagoneer. As an expansion size, sure. And even a smaller Sport size might fit the bill. And for trucks the oversized Colorado should be the limit. Use Ridgeline as a...

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

Scout Motors can take a highly successful cue from reservation programs recently such as the Bronco 6G Which collected an initial 165,000 reservations.( which I reserved for $100 on release day and now have 40k miles) and Ineos Grenadier, which asjed for $400 and garnered enough reservations to...

It's the Scouts who answer the call...

And VAG can employ similar advertising as both Case-IH and McCormick use going back to 1831 if they wish. Or even just 1902 when IH was formed. The Autobuggy and Autowagon were far ahead of Ford Model T pick-ups chronologically, engineering and dealer network. Depending on where you click on...

    Model Names

Condors, like Turkey Vultures are known for being carrion esters and not like a eagles or Hawks, true birds of prey. And outside South America restricted to coastal California. Didn't we ready rule out Cali names? Case-IH still uses Farmall so forget that. And there were never to my...

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

Majes sense ro me. If you want to "steal" E & PD talent and not uproot their families to the hinterlands you have to provide them with anew venue just down the street. Sure $1,000,000 would go 10x as far in SC as in MI but you go where the talent is

    Not a fan

Tesla sales took a long time to take off partly because each vehicle they spit out the door had to go back through assembly. While high priced EV's may be sliding there is a market for $30,000 family cars and between the government of CA and DC there is expected to come a time when the only new...

Two things. German cars have gas tank filler on the right And since it is an EV the plug needs to be in the left front fender

    dont want batteries

Thanks for stopping by, Bob, but I believe the die is cast. The new Scout will be 100% EV (unless the ghost of Ferry Porsche might sway the VW talking heads) That being said, look at the success of the 6g Bronco (I drive a first day reservation) and all the various Jeep models. There can be a...
