  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

150 miles of EV range will be plenty for me with my day to day needs. I opted for the Harvester because the charging network in Montana is still way behind. My hope is 500 miles combined, and then if I’m at a spot where a charger is not available, I can get gas and keep going at highway speeds...

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

I don’t see my Scout being anywhere near the starting price. Things like the roof rack and 35” tires will be a must.

A spray jet to help clean off the cameras?

Chevy does the same thing on their undercarriage cameras. It’s pretty cool.

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

For the first time in my life I have now referred to an EV as “Bad Ass!”

LED lights integrated into the roof rack - this is a nice touch!

A spray jet to help clean off the cameras?

It’s the same as the windshield wiper spray (comes from the same reservoir). In the winter I make sure to have windshield wiper fluid that is good for below freezing temperatures. I’ve never had an issue with the fluid freezing.

A spray jet to help clean off the cameras?

My Raptor had this on the front camera. I thought it was silly at first. Turned out to be a great idea. I wish my TRX had this feature.

    Driver Legroom

If the front seats are similar to my wife’s Chevy Colorado I’m good. It’s amazing how much room is in the front of those.

    Driver Legroom

Being 6’8” myself I’ve wondered this as well. Maybe somebody has an answer.

    Warranty work with the Scout?

So maybe I’m putting the cart before the horse here, but I have a question regarding warranty. Every new vehicle I’ve had has needed some sort of warranty work. With Scout not having dealerships, what happens when something breaks? When something needs addressed on my Ram or Chevy, I just make...

    Adjustable ride height

I’ll pass on the whole air ride suspension thing. Just one more thing to fail.

2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger Production Run Will Be Short

There’s all sorts of rumors of a new Dodge model with a V8. Only time will tell on the rumors (I’ve heard the name “Cuda” whispered for years now). The Ramcharger has the potential to be a cool option. I have a reservation on the Traveler with the Harvester package, and I’m excited to see what...

2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger Production Run Will Be Short

I think with Tim Kuniskis back as Ram’s CEO, the focus will be more on gas powered trucks than EV’s, so this shift doesn’t shock me. Lots of rumors of the Hellcat returning in 2026 as a street truck, or the rebirth of the TRX. I think the Ramcharger will be a great new product for Ram (if they...

What are you driving until release?

Current daily driver. I don’t see this truck ever going away. The Scout will take over daily driver chores.

    Stickers! And other decor...

As a rule I’ve never been a huge sticker guy. That said, I have a Montana sticker and a San Juan Island Brewery sticker on the back of the truck right now. The San Juan Island Brewery very well could be my favorite place on earth.

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

I spend all day at work around diesel motors, and the last thing I want in a personal vehicle is a diesel. DEF, Filters, EGR Coolers, DEF tanks freezing or breaking, the list goes on. A diesel engine back in 2004 before all the mandates was great. These new diesels are a mess for day to day...

    360 Camera Auto On

I agree on removing speed limits on the camera. There are times I want to travel faster than 12mph and still use my camera.

Grab handle on drivers side A-pillar

Hell, I’m 6’8” and use the driver side grab handle every day in my truck. It’s a feature I would have assumed all new trucks/suv’s had.

    Harvester- No Gas Cap

Not having a gas cap, and having push button start have changed how I look at vehicles. Two simple pleasures that I enjoy. Maybe a little lame, but again, I like the little things.

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

I agree 100% about the 15 minute thing. But when I get out, shut the door, and head to my mailbox I really don't need the truck to honk twice. Now if I walk away and 10 minutes later haven't come back, then honk away. Side question/Random Thought: When I walk away from my current Ram and...
