  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Questions about the Harvester

Interesting YouTube video. Kind of implies that the Harvester could be a gas and go vehicle.

Scout Warns VW Dealers Fighting Direct Sales That It’s Not Playing Around

My “Blame California” comes from a lot of things. One perfect example- A brand new Ram TRX cannot be sold in California unless it has the immision sticker on the door specific to California. Mind you, it’s the exact same truck with or without that sticker. But because it’s California it gets...

Scout Warns VW Dealers Fighting Direct Sales That It’s Not Playing Around

Like I said earlier, tell California to suck an egg!

I find that common sense isn’t all that common.

    [Terra] Bed tie down points

I have the adjustable tie downs on my truck from Ram, and they are great (kind of screwed one up with the swing out tool box). That said, I still use the tie down mounts in the lower part of the bed too. Sometimes you need a lower point to secure things.

    Drivetrain

Been the owner of fire breathing gas burning V8’s most my life. Swore the EV movement was ridiculous (Cyber Truck proves that point). Watched the Scout reveal and thought it was a neat EV, but nothing I’d ever buy. Then near the end they drop the Harvester bomb. So now here I sit with a Scout...

So what you’re saying is don’t be an a-hole and run all your lights unless truly off road?

    Montana Scout fans

I’ve got a Traveler Harvester reserved. I’m not ready to go full EV just yet. Having a gas backup for my neck of the woods and use just feels like a smart plan.

Global EREV battery capacity deployment is growing six times faster than that of BEVs

I have a Traveler Harvester on order as well. The way I see it, I’d charge the battery to 100% and fill the gas tank to full. I’d then drive until the gas tank was around 1/4 tank, and then recharge and get gas.

    Cloth seats

My 2012 Power Wagon had cloth seats, and they were fantastic! There’s been many times I’d like to have those seats in my truck now. It would be cool to be able to order the options you wanted, and not be forced into leather.

2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger Production Run Will Be Short

Probably the right move for Ram at this point.

Consumer Freedom and Scout Motors in South Carolina

I’m glad you brought this up today. I saw something interesting on YouTube and it made me think of Scout immediately. There’s a a YouTuber who mentions using Amazon as the dealer. Not sure how legit that is, but I found the idea interesting. Here’s the video I mentioned. He’s not wrong when it...

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

My answer is simple. If Scout had not come out with the Harvester, I wouldn’t even look at it. I’m not sold on the EV lifestyle just yet, but I do like some things about them. There’s just to many open miles without reliable charging in Montana. I travel too far from the main roads to trust an...

    International Big Rig Features

Here’s one way to get roof marker lights. Not exactly what you’re asking for, but it’s now a must have on my Scout list of options.

    Offroad Navigation Integration for Scouts

Scout released a video a couple of days ago, and in that video they mentioned a satellite intergrated into the roof rack (see pics and YouTube linked below). This with Apple Car Play and onX Maps solves a lot of the issues when headed into areas where cell service doesn’t exist.

Would you want a translucent, auto-dimming antiglare visor for drivers and passengers.

Sounds expensive and just one more thing to fail. I’m good with old school flip down visors. Some things don’t necessarily need to be changed or upgraded.
