  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

@Jamie@ScoutMotors I noticed tonight there are 14 staff members from SM (including Scott). How come they aren’t adding to our conversations? I’d like to challenge them all over the next week to try and add something to the forum (that doesn’t get them fired ?) that tells us something about them...

    Sunglass holder

I didn’t see this at reveal but will there be any designated sunglasses holder/storage area within the vehicles. As someone who has prescription glasses and sunglasses it’s nice to have a convenient area. Maybe a vertical “pocket” in the center console to keep them in place and safe?

The VW ID. Every1 Will Be One Of VW’s First Model To Implement Rivian’s Software In Europe.

In the right color this is a real winner. Another great modernization of a VW classic. I like the color but not on that concept but to each their own. Nice car!

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Can I be nosy and ask how much the lease is? I’m only 1-1/2 years in on my accord and paid it off “downsizing) from my Acura TLX type S (I really miss that car some days ?) so no way I’m gonna lease anything or spend new money but if I had to buy or lease an EV SUV tomorrow I’d consider it.

I’m generally not a Kia fan but I like the EV9. It’s edgy but relatable

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

Lot of good stuff. Welcome to the forum. Some of these items, like dual wireless chargers have been shown and discussed so SM has been listening. I really like the valet mode. Would be nice to have a valet fob as well which would auto sense and instantly go to that mode in case you forget to...

    Driving Distance Poll

Thanks for the insight. Knowing you are very local to me helps get a better understanding of we had strongly considered driving to Quebec but had limited time. Loved it there so hoping to go back some summer to see it in a different season

That makes them both more unique and probably more valuable if I ever sell mine

    Optional Third Row

Our pilot is 199” long, I’m 5’-11” and the back seat ride for 20 minutes was horrible. I can’t speak for your teenage but I’m gonna say he’s a saint because I there is no way I’d willingly ride in the third row again. If they could get a side mount aftermarket seat to work and pass crash test...

Agreed. They had several non stop heavy rain weeks including carryover hurricane/tropical storms. Being in the industry I can tell you burlap tubes filled with mulch are accepted standard practice but they don’t hold up. Two days of heavy rain after weeks of drought don’t allow water to...
