  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

It’s been discussed on the forum but not aware of anyone officially noting it as of yet. By 2027 I would almost guess it will be standard

Harvester generator gas and not diesel

And he is helping keep me on track with my anger management as it relates to certain threads ?

Harvester generator gas and not diesel

Yes it has. While @THil08 strays on occasion I’ve fairly called him out and even DM him occasionally to compliment his posts and efforts. That’s what is great about spirited debate. I like a lot of his posts and he approaches things with an open mind. That’s what makes this forum awesome...

Harvester generator gas and not diesel

No your not but you’ve been here less than a week with what comes off as strong agendas. Every auto manufacturer at some point has been propped up by the government at some point. That said, if you spend some time here and go wayyyy back you’ll see the active members don’t want these politically...

    Built-in hydraulic or electric jacks

Welcome. Great idea but agree it’s a pricey proposition. Keep the ideas coming

    Puddle light projection design

    Haha!

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

Hadn’t thought about just applying second deposit to my reservation. Wonder if SM will allow that. Good idea!

    Limp Modes or Selective Disabling

Wasn’t sure on your wording but thought that was your thinking. Just added a bit as it did make me question how good the control system is. We aren’t Star Trek futuristic but maybe the interface can detect and bypass with “limp” mode of some kind

    Door lock keypad

That works too. I went to silicone because I’m older and my fingers have puffed a bit and tight. FYI-never buy a titanium ring. In an accident situation medical responders have no tools that can cut titanium which makes for higher risk of an amputation of your ring finger. I was set on titanium...

    Ideas for Harvester

Everyone wanting diesel forgets about VW/VWAG diesel gate. They don’t want that drain on their reputation. People can keep asking for diesel but isn’t gonna happen. Sorry to keep bursting bubbles but they are using a VWAG sourced engine and it won’t be diesel as has been stated.

    Activity/wedding band for me!

Harvester generator gas and not diesel

I am not protesting you other than to say EV sales are increasing year after year which means ICE (gas or diesel) are slowly declining. I’m not claiming health benefits anywhere in my statement. I was clearly noting I will not buy a diesel because of headaches. When behind a diesel vehicle I...

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

You need to edit and capitalize International-that was a brilliant pun

    Puddle light projection design

That would be cool for harvester models.

    Puddle light projection design

I did search but nothing came up. Figured I’d start a dedicated thread

    Puddle light projection design

If SM does offer puddle/approach lights what should the projection design be. A general soft light glow? A red glow, the Scout logo? If you’ve got ideas throw them out. Maybe somebody has the ideal Easter egg? I like “go further” or “connect”

    Door lock keypad

I’ve always liked this idea but refrigerators have buttons that are similar and eventually those wear out and fail. What happens when that happens on a vehicle. It would look terrible. I’d rather just a simple finger print. That said I still carry a few keys for daily-ish needs so a fob suits me...

    Hidden locking compartments under seats

I think the entire frunk should be lined with coffee grounds so these become the preferred vehicles for drug runners. Nobody ever thinks about their needs ? Just kidding but was thinking about a way to line the frunk with something for people who camp so that you could disguise the smell of food...

    Limp Modes or Selective Disabling

I suspect with some battery failure the harvester would not function because it is charging the battery and now you are powering a failed system which raises risk or fire or catastrophic battery pack failure unless it can lock down the individual pack and bypass it ?
