  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Sunglass holder

Its the Jersey in me! If I’m going 90, the person in front better be doing 90 or better. No rules on the Garden State Parkway or TurnPike. State Police don't do crap lol. It’s like the Autobahn.

its not a bad idea. I just wouldn't want to be driving and go to road rage and accidentally smack the thing and it shoot up and block the view and send me into a road barrier.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

I could be the retired EA113 2.0L without an oilpan or at least a modified oil pan and a dry pump installed.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

let the engineers deal with. I've worked with highly strange engine and mounted engine. And I don't know where you're getting that the engine grows in height. it's on a slant. also, nice diagrams. only thing, is that its mounted above the axle not behind. that's why it's going to be mounted...

drainage would still happen since it will most likely be on a 25-to-45-degree angle. so not completely horizontal but it's still considered as horizontal mounted. And coolant will be probably connected/linked into the battery.

Please Oliver Blume better say I have no control on what they do they are separate from us. they make their on decisions. This is bad really bad. Scout could be doomed if he anwsers the wrong way.

Exactly Thank you! And its cheaper than building engines from scratch.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

there's a small thing called an oil pump in engines now days. so that's not an issue. They don't rely on splashing very much anymore.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

its most likely being mounted horizontally.

yeah, especially when they keep comparing it to the Mini Cooper Ev in every picture of comparison and when asked. The Mini electric 2 door only costs 31k and the gas option cost 28k. now yes I'm sure it's due to the small production that it will be and that they are ground up, with small funds.

Yeah like they compare it to a Kei Truck but those are only $800-$1,500 USD. But I’m sure either because of the small production and Electrical Engineering.

That’s interior looks painful to sit in, it looks so small, I’ll mention that price again lol 41k is a bit much for what your getting. Bro couldn’t even get in it without looking uncomfortable.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I’m used to it being on my left side next to my steering wheel. BMW and Mini Stlye.
