  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Re-think Headlight Design

    I LOVE that “S”!

    Re-think Headlight Design

Agreed but I think the rectangular ones like on the ‘80 SII would work.

Is the EREV going to be a flop?

    Might send the wrong message! 🫣 ;)  o_O 😱 😵‍💫 :p 🤮 🤣

Couldn’t resist sharing this. This is the best explanation (for my feeble brain) I’ve seen concerning axial flux motors. Imagine putting a 200-300 hp version at each wheel of our Scouts. No more axle, no more differential. Just buckets of power and articulation.

EV reservation holders, would you consider the Harvester

I will probably be convinced with 350 miles in the Terra.

Interesting spare tire mount solution for jeeps from Excessive Industries. At about the 12 minute mark you can see them putting in the mount and then loading up the tire.

EV reservation holders, would you consider the Harvester

Yes, kind of hoping for a big LFP.

@cyure how good are you at driving in reverse? 🫣

Aren’t we all. You don’t know the power of the DAD side.

Is the EREV going to be a flop?

Be sure to give us blow-by-blow with the actuals when you complete the trip. With an appropriate rest period beforhand of course.

Start Night is one of my favorites. I love this.

Don’t forget the battery weight. This ‘balance’ is why they moved to the gas tank under the rear seat.

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

I don’t tow an RV of any kind. The only towing I ever do is a small utility trailer. We do some road trips, not many. However the “middle of nowhere” calls. Don’t know if it’s realistic but I/we likely will take more trips.

    Don’t kid yourself. A “great” ICE truck/SUV will have a 345/4-speed in it. ;)

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

My reservation is Terra Harvester. When I recently installed a small, house battery back up, I had the electrician install a 240V/50A outlet from the main panel to charge the batteries in addition to the sub panel. Once I get some solar installed that plug will be available for L2 charging...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

I drive no more than 10 miles daily so a 150 mile range will absolutely serve me for 2 weeks. Full BEV for me would be over a month. Hence my ‘fence’ dilemma. Sigh!

Is the EREV going to be a flop?

Funny you should reiterate your points here. You’ve mentioned them in the past and it just occurred to me this is the reason I use electric lawn tools. When I bought a dual line gas string trimmer years ago I thought it was the greatest thing. The continual struggle just to get it started made...
