  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Bronze wheels please!

I love bronze wheels, but prefer a darker bronze. The pictures above are way too gold for me. Not this specific wheel as I LOVE the wheels Scout has been showing, but more towards the brown spectrum:

Factory Pick Up - Cost and what does it include?

Keep it simple. I'd like a factory tour. Afterwards, I want a staff member to take me on a scare-the-piss-out-of-you run on Scout's off-road course in one of their vehicles to show you what your vehicle is capable of in stock form. Afterwards, I'd like the option to try out the course on my...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I'm still pissed that BMW's SC center was closed for whatever reason when my 135i was arriving from Germany. I'd seriously considered doing their factory delivery in Germany and having the car shipped back afterwards. Price was pretty reasonable.

    Favorite road tripping snack

You had to say it didn't you? Curiosity got the best of me... Blueberry Flavored Bits [Sugar, Corn Syrup, Corn Cereal, Corn Starch, Palm Oil, Fruit and Vegetable Extract (Color), Artificial Flavor] BUT... It has corn, which can be counted as a fruit, so I'm going to go with your thought...

    Favorite road tripping snack

Now that we've entered the unhealthy snack/food portion, I'll chime in. I love Munchkins on road trips. Conveniently in a 50-count box, and with a mix of blueberry and chocolate, you never know what you'll grab.

    Scout Color Poll #1

I'd definitely put darker bronze wheels on that car. Love the green with the tan interior.

    Schnauzers of Scout Motors

Put a Gulf racing patch on each side for the finishing touch. You've pretty much got the Gulf/Porsche livery going on anyway.

    Retrofitting a winch

I'm really curious to see what Scout does for a winch. In my opinion, it doesn't make sense to upgrade the whole 12v system to handle a winch. Do they do a battery-voltage winch? That'd allow for much smaller wiring at a minimum. Perhaps a hydraulic winch using a pump from another system in...

    Scout Patents

I was picturing it rolling the windows down and turning the HVAC blower to high to de-stink the cabin, haha. :ROFLMAO:

    Thoughts on Factory 37s

I assume the rear diff will limit ground clearance compared to a Rivian, but I have no clue what Scout is doing back there yet.

    Thoughts on Factory 37s

Probably not gonna look right coming out of the butt end of my Traveler for the Harvester engine... :ROFLMAO: That does make me wonder though, with the Harvester mounted so low, what impacts will be had on the wading depth? Wonder where the plumbing for the air intake will lead? Hopefully...

    FB find of the day

I see we've even got quotes from Scout's Aunt Aileen in there too. Love the involvement with Scout where you're starting to recognize employees in the articles as posters here on the forum! Oh yeah, I also LOVE the wheels they've been showing on their vehicles recently and it's nice seeing the...

    Thoughts on Factory 37s

It's a Jeep thing, I wouldn't understand. :ROFLMAO: Been running 35" mud tires on my Toyota for the past 80k miles and nary a wobble or vibration, but solid front axles and recirculating ball steering are definitely more prone to the death wobble. My IFS is much more comfortable to drive, but...

    Thoughts on Factory 37s

I can't see Scout offering a 37" option due to the hit to the range it'll make and the additional costs to support the larger size. I suspect we'll also see corporate lawyers remove mentions of being able to fit 37" tires from Scout employees soon as well. Those mentions could be misconstrued...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I'd love to see vehicle safety scores hit hard for not having physical buttons for common items like HVAC, etc. It's simply more dangerous and distracting.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

By the numbers, my V8 daily driver stomps my Supra in every quantifiable metric, but the Supra just feels better to drive. The hardest part of driving it is remembering where gears are, and to remember to NOT shift to 6th gear. All of my vehicles are manual and they have reverse in a different...

Preparing an EV for a winter storm...

Stay away from everybody in the south when it starts to snow. The mentality is typically "oh crap, it's starting to snow, if I drive 80mph, I can beat it home!" By the next morning, lessons are learned (until the next time it snows), their cars are all in the ditches, most of the fires are...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I'll be watching this one very closely. Even decades later, I miss my SW20 MR2. I enjoyed the FR-S I had as well, so if they can give me a proper, lightweight, mid-engine car with a solid roof (or at least not a convertible), I'll be very interested. My expectations are probably too high for...

Preparing an EV for a winter storm...

Man, being in the south, I love going to work on the rare snow days. Nobody on the roads and nobody bothering me at work. Peaceful solitude!
