  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Lego Kit

Same here. I've got the Jaws set in line next, but for this past Christmas, I did the TV Batmobile. That thing is huge at 19" long.

February 2026 Scout Production Center Update

This dog is too stupid to use a ramp, or stairs for that matter. A single step is acceptable to him, no more. He literally answers to "Stupid" now. Sweet dog, but the brain cells skipped this one. :ROFLMAO:

February 2026 Scout Production Center Update

Sadly, no. I'm good at taking pictures, combining them with Scout's published vehicle sizes and scaling things though! I'm short, so leg room and head room are never an issue for me in most any vehicle. Loading crap into a cargo area can be a problem for me though. Getting a stubborn 100-lb...

That graphic did come from Scout at the presentation though, so I'm definitely analyzing it. The front suspension appears to be a standard short/long arm double wishbone with a strut. Pretty common, offers decent handling and road feel. The rear suspension appears to be a standard 4 link and...

February 2026 Scout Production Center Update

That was a huge turn-off for me when I first saw the new LC in person. It really looked like they'd already designed the vehicle and decided after the fact that they wanted to add a battery. The load floor does look high in the Travelers in pictures though, but it looks well-integrated if...

    Harvester Capless Fuel Fill Door

Maybe it's just me, haha. I'm not wading, but flinging wet mud that runs down the vehicle into, well, everything. A quick blast from a small electric pressure gets most everything out, but a good weather seal and a good fuel door should solve 99% of my issues if capless is desired otherwise...

A little info, but I'd love to hear the whole thing. https://www.motortrend.com/news/2027-scout-harvester-erev-engine-update

I find the whole direct-to-consumer thing rather amusing in a sick way. Musk really pushed for direct-to-consumer to ditch the dealer model, meanwhile he's employing dealer pricing tactics on a scale that makes dealer lobbying groups jealous. I've frankly got some really good dealers near me...

February 2026 Scout Production Center Update

I'm a vampire, so... Actually, I just have very light-colored eyes that are a lot more sensitive to light than most. No open roof, 20% tint all around (most I can do legally here). It's also why I'm hoping we have a true 0-100% control over dashboard lighting and the ability to turn off all...

February 2026 Scout Production Center Update

Clearly a hint that solid-roof models will be the first on the production line. Glad I'm getting a solid roof! :ROFLMAO: I wanted orange, but that green looks quite nice too.

There have been so many forum volunteers to drive Scouts that Scout negotiated with the NHTSA to forego formal crash testing if the live participants survive the jump. Should save Scout a lot of money in regulatory BS.

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

I want an EREV as well, but I recognize much (not all) of the population is ignorant of EV stuff.

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

Rivian did similar batching in the beginning with those wanting certain interior colors having to wait. I don't know if that was for simplicity or supplier issues however.

Currently, everywhere except for where the red labels are. Retention ponds may require a snorkel.

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

On the flip side, the public is admittedly ignorant, but trying to educate the ignorants is usually off-putting to said ignorants, and Scout doesn't want to be off-putting to anyone if possible. Play the long game, get the ignorants in an EREV and once they see that even 150 miles of range does...

Seeing the pictures of the mostly-finished training center got me wondering more about where it was, so I did a little digging. In the picture, it's a decently large building, but it's tiny compared to the plant!

Anyone heard of MOLL Automatisierung? According to Google Maps, they now have a corporate office on-site at the plant in Blythewood, SC. I'm assuming they're the ones in charge of setting up the production line and robots.

Factory Pick Up - Cost and what does it include?

Somewhat off-topic, but your comment made me hungry... Makes me wonder, does a factory like this have a cafeteria with food on-site, or just a lunchroom?

That supplier park just keeps growing. Sounds like they'll be enticing a lot of manufacturing support to go in the park to keep the supply chain on-site as much as possible. I was originally thinking it was more for aftermarket stuff, but that doesn't sound like the case. I also like seeing...
