  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Is the EREV going to be a flop?

Good point coming from a Terra perspective. Full size truck buyers don't even want the turbo-4 options in their trucks from most of what I see, so for the Terra, you might be right. The full-size truck EV market is remarkably small, but there aren't any competitors really with the Lightning...

Is the EREV going to be a flop?

That, sir, would be a terrible idea for all of the best reasons. Most people I see on a daily basis have a pretty good sense of humor, and those that don't wouldn't choose to drive a Scout anyway. Positioning Scout as fun with a dark side could be very good marketing for an EV company, getting...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

Do you really want your EV making the mating sound of a very large mammal on a regular basis? This doesn't end well. :ROFLMAO:

    FB find of the day

It's BS that these companies finally recognized such things with EVs. As a shareholder of a legacy automaker, I'd be pissed off that they weren't doing this the whole time for ICE vehicles as well. I see the same thing all the time with commercial architecture with independent teams working on...

    Dixxon partnership, & EV whirring

Holy crap, I heard a Prologue leaving a parking lot this weekend! Even the dude riding the Harley with open pipes took notice.

    Re-think Headlight Design

Is it any different than the new Land Cruiser having two different front ends, one with round headlights and one with more linear headlights? I'd love to have optional front masks, but with federal testing/approval for headlights, assemblies, etc, it probably doesn't make sense to have too many...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

A proper design that uses the same interface, wiring, seat blowers, etc should keep it economical to implement. I'm okay if the center seat doesn't get vents to keep things more standardized.

Is the EREV going to be a flop?

There's a reason dead hookers are the de facto standard for measuring trunk space, but sadly reality has changed over the years. Hookers vary much more in size nowadays than in the 80's, so I'm thinking we should take a different, though equally offensive, approach for marketing. Camera pans...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

This is why I'm hoping for more à la carte pricing and less package pricing for options. There's no reason to force packages on people with the manufacturing tech that's currently in place unless the individual options can't physically go together. I really want a ventilated bench seat up...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

Likewise, when I'm dealing with a more green customer, showing up in my 500hp V8 sedan with long tube headers and some lope at idle probably doesn't do me any favors. I often decide which vehicle to drive based on who I'm meeting with because that initial impression can be a make or break thing...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Jamie mentioned towing a small trailer (2k lbs if memory recalls) on the highway and being able to maintain that indefinitely, so long as you kept putting gas in. LONG steep grades, or crazy headwinds might be an issue, but we could probably do the math on that to see what size generator...

Is the EREV going to be a flop?

I'm trying to reduce as many fuel-powered devices as possible. Most all of the yard tools are now electric, the chainsaw is electric. The Kubota is diesel and I don't see a way around that, but I'm starting to eyeball options to get rid of the gas generator as well. Some EcoFlow is tempting...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

Definitely charging at home overnight. I've got an extra 200A+ of capacity in my panels, so I'll wire in the highest amperage charger that makes sense.

February 2026 Scout Production Center Update

I'm gonna need you to put this shirt back on, get in this same pose and take a measurement from the floor to the bottom of the t-shirt on your right hip to give us an approximate trunk floor height. :ROFLMAO:

February 2026 Scout Production Center Update

I couldn't tell if it was just something rigged up to provide better lighting for the prototypes, or if it was supposed to be part of the vehicle.

February 2026 Scout Production Center Update

Can't wait for the bench seat! I hadn't noticed the lighting around the sunroof perimeter before. Was that just for display purposes, or was that actually part of the truck??

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

Most days, I'll just use EV only, but this past weekend I had to head across the state for a job. I'd likely have run at least half of the trip in gas-only mode to get the engine up to full operating temperature for an extended period of time since it's good for the engine. Better than letting...
