    Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

    Okay, I'll bite. You're proposing an engine that won't fit into the Scout (without losing the frunk) that has ~141hp and a small battery for towing heavy loads at high altitude. Towing 7k-10k, you'll use up the battery capacity in 15-20 miles, at which point the 1.5 liter engine can't keep up...

    Definitely go for low maintenance! I did ToyOutfitter adjustables ~15 years ago. I just grease them at each oil change and they've been silent and indestructible (unlike the stock front mounts, haha). I too keep my sway bars on since I drive aggressively on the street.

    I don't know if the cells matter much where they're coming from, but the battery management system will need to play nice with the Rivian software at the very least. Scout has said the batteries will be assembled on-site though, so I'm assuming they're partnering with someone in the battery...

    I had to go look at my daily driver to see what color stitching it had, haha. After 95k miles, I was surprised to find red stitching at all of the seams in the black leather seats. I had no idea... Apparently I'm more focused on the driving and not having a "Jesus, Take the Wheel" moment...

    Off-topic stuff…

    My good friend mostly shoots with his older Leica, and man, that thing is DENSE. It's like holding a lead ingot in your hand compared to most cameras, but every movement reminds you of a fine Swiss time piece. I don't know crap about cameras, but it simply felt really good in my hands.
