  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

What do we think is going to happen on the 24th of October?

I’ll get paid eventually but that’s bumping up against my savings cushion unfortunately

    What was your first car?

I’ve gotten the flex up to 100 but it wasn’t thrilled about it. Seems like 90-95 is about the most it’s comfortable with (at least with the condition of the roads I’m on)

I think NC only allows direct to consumer for Tesla. I’m not certain though

I'm going to try to gas light myself about batteries and range

Ilya is bigger than everyone. He was about 18 pounds last time we went to the vet. We also have a dog that loves all the cats and especially loves kittens. His name is Dewey and they all like to snuggle with him.

And saved for last is the grumpy old man who is probably the father of at least some of the ones in my house. I can't tell you his name because the auto-censor keeps changing it. He earned it when he first came to the house because he was chasing that feral mom around until she was so tired...

Ghost and Crybaby are the newest - Ghost is named for the Gray Ghost character from Batman and Crybaby is called that because he won't let me near him yet but he sits in the woods and cries at me while I get the food together. He sounds so sad.

Then we have the outside cats. Isabel is the oldest and is a cranky old lady who loves attention from certain people and only them.

Then Mousie - I found out they can prescribe cats Prozac to be administered with ear drops. I'm definitely asking the vet about that at her next appointment. She's very high strung and sometimes attacks others for no reason. She also challenged the two bucks she saw in the woods behind our house...

Treeboy (he escaped from the house and climbed a tree and got stuck and my son who is scared of heights had to climb up and get him) Michael doesn't need a silly name- just look at him. Also Mike likes to watch TV (who can name that show?)

Then the same mom (I just couldn't catch her - she was too smart to trap) dropped off another set of babies. Again, I couldn't find homes for them so we added 5 more to our house. Adzuki-bean Mina (she shows love by biting so she's definitely a vampire's bride)

Poppet likes to snuggle with Ilya. Sometimes Ilya needs a break.

Then we had a feral mom drop off her babies and I couldn't find a home for them. So we have Kuro (the black one - his name means black in Japanese), RagDoll (she looks like she has fluff coming out the top of her), and Poppet RagDoll Poppet (and Poppet on Kuro)

Then we got Ilya More-o-pets (I hope someone gets that joke). Ilya is constantly confused by life.

Then we got Huckleberry. Huck is smart for an orange cat.

Ok - here goes the list! I'll divide it into a few posts. This is our oldest guy - his name is Mr. Spock. My daughter named him that because he has pointy ears.

    What was your first car?

My very first car was a green 1972 Chevy Nova with a white top. We lived at the end of a 3/4 mile private dirt road and my dad got it for me when I was 14 to learn on by driving it back and forth to the end of the road to meet the bus. He bought it for $400 because it was not road safe (he never...

I just heard my first Scout Commercial on a podcast!

It’s going to be hilarious when they look at their stats and see a spike in listeners at the commercial break 😆

Notice this part? Nissan should want to smack him for even suggesting their truck will look like this. (I hope) Using Midjourney 7.0, Gemini 2.5 Flash Image, and Adobe Photoshop, I take an imagined look at what an all-electric Nissan compact pickup truck could look like and speculate on its...
