  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout Concepts At LA Auto Show, November 21-30, 2025

I was more referring to the fact that my company uses a variety of different modelling software and that my specific sites chosen software is far superior to CATIA (in my humble opinion).

Now that I have been thinking about CATIA someone is going to ask me to open a model at work in CATIA and that will make me want to set my computer alight

I for one am SHOCKED that things get more expensive SHOCKED I TELL YOU that being said I am very thankful that my company went overboard on our new factory we our building (plus our world works differently)

I don't really understand this article, the wording "“Our investments have grown as we’ve realized this vision,” they added, stating that the previously announced $2 billion was a “guaranteed minimum investment” under the agreement signed by the company with the state of South Caroline" here...

Exactly. The S was doomed as soon as other luxury OEM's could make a "Sport" trim of their EV's compelling. Are you telling me that I would have to spend $25k more on a Model S compared to a i5M? Like yes the range is less but lets also be real if we are buying vehicles in that performance...

Dam, I didn't know that the Rivian R1T can get up to 11k lbs

I am also very curious about the Evotrex-PG5 and how that shapes up

2026 Lightship vs Pebble Flow All Electric Trailers

I believe the Lightship also lower/raising mechanism. Which while cool and will help with range....probably not the greatest for reliability and insulation.

Its okay Ford can cancel production on some more cars or small SUVs and make an F-175 to sell

Honestly call me crazy but that doesn't seem like terrible pricing. Especially with the R2 (probably a larger vehicle as well) coming in the 45k + mark. Really sets the stage for R3 (please please happen) being in the 35k-50k price range

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

The costs alone for large scale production tooling is mind-blowing. Not to mention the time you will need to spend on training techs and assembly of the tools.

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Great points with the fact that even your base input costs are increasing, and if they have not yet....they will in the future no doubt. Additionally the capital required to build the factory and R&D is astronomical. Scout has been spending cash on engineering and R&D while not selling anything...

Or try snowboarding! That for sure is a cheap hobby that doesn't require thousands of dollars a year just to use a shitty chair
