  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Texas Scouts

I believe you order online as normal, and they deliver the car to you in Texas. They send the plates and registration when complete, it's just the purchase is not done directly in Texas. I'm not sure if Scout will do the same, but Tesla have a list that says how they process registering...

    Texas Scouts

Depending on how Scout does it, I imagine you will order online and the sale will be completed in another state that allows DTC purchases. Then most likely you can either pick it up from there and drive it back or have it delivered to you in Texas and then register it there.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

I think a lot of people who don't do any research on EVs just look at the time it takes to get to 100% charge and go off that figure which is obviously significantly longer than just charging to 80% or less and moving on to the next stop a few hours away. So when they say it takes over an hour...

Interesting, I didn't know that's how they worked in terms of modules. I guess on the plus side with those like you say, you could have a few go out and still get good charging speeds. I agree with the maintenance though, while more chargers are needed across the US and Canada, outside of high...

    Make steering wheel sportier

Maybe there will be different options for steering wheel design to accommodate personal preferences. I like how the current one looks (minus the stop/start button on it), and I wouldn't really want a sporty looking wheel in a large pickup truck but that's just me.

    Brake pedal behavior: Preference?

This shows why multiple options are needed, I actually test drove a Cybertruck while I was getting my car inspected a few weeks ago and I liked the way it drove. It was a bit different to my model 3, maybe a little firmer on the regen but once I got used to it I liked it. It actually drove...

    Off-topic stuff…

I feel like Tesla don't really want to sell tires, although they will. They are more expensive that at other places, which I presume is to try and free up appointment times for other things. I just get my tires from Costco for mine, which also come with free tire rotations (Tesla would charge if...

I know it says there are no cars that can use the 600kW charging in the US as of now, obviously it's still good to future proof. My question that I don't know the answer to, is if you have 600kW chargers like this that for the time being will never max out, will that help with reliability versus...

    Test drive options

I would like to get a test drive before I'm committed for a purchase. I'm sure it will be great but I would definitely like to get a feel for how it drives, particularly around the one pedal driving dynamics and how it compares to my current car and make sure the general comfort and seating...

I still bet when it’s released a lot of the people will be saying they won’t buy it unless they put the V8 Hemi in there.

I don't, especially anything to do with electrics based on the Jeep's we have had and thankfully no longer own.

    Full time dash 360 cam

I don't think much impact at all. My Tesla has sentry mode that records motion when parked and if I honk the horn when driving, but it also has footage of the last 1 hour of driving saved as well and overwrites it on a loop as far as I can tell.

I think that’s just a mistake on Tesla’s part. They’d have to redo the driver profile settings since they auto adjust the mirrors and would probably cost more to move to manual mirrors than just leave at power adjustable. From videos I’ve seen from YouTubers they either haven’t mentioned that at...

It just says manual folding on Tesla website when I looked now. I know he is, but you can see the screen and mirror controls are on there to adjust them like on the other trim levels. There’s no way Tesla would have manual adjustable mirrors, just manual folding.

That might be him after work when he’s finished with everyone on here for the day 😂

They are electronically adjustable, just not power folding. 11.39 in shows the power option on the video

Package options - what would you like bundled?

    It's probably higher than that.

Package options - what would you like bundled?

I wonder if it would be a cost option, or if it is a choice between that and something else in that space like a sunglasses holder etc.

    Central Florida Scouts!

At some point in the future we'll have enough members to do a Scout and Schnauzer combination meetup!

It looks so weird, I wonder how long it would take to be quicker typing with that compared to the QWERTY layout when you're not used to it.
