  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

One Giant Leap Into the World of EV Ownership

You’ll like the Emporia equipment. It works and gives great metrics if you want to see your exact home charging performance over time (days/wks/months/years). I will give you another web site to plug into and that is recurrentauto.com It will track your battery health against other similar...

    Harvester Battery Size

Agree & it’s also a matter of convenience. An EV w/o level 2 Home charging is missing a big piece of upside. I really value my time avoiding gas stations and public EV chargers.

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

The Scout will be a bargain at $60k. I’m in until the price tag is north of $100K.

Consumer Freedom and Scout Motors in South Carolina

They would for $2 billion. I have done similar scale deals in all of them in my industry.

Consumer Freedom and Scout Motors in South Carolina

It’s crazy ya’ll dropped a ~$2billion investment without understanding this. States like Arkansas, Texas, & Alabama to name a few would have gladly given Scout a non-union home without the bureaucracy. I do wish you luck, special interest lobbyists are all parasites.

Current EV owners…are you staying BEV or switching to Harvester?

We haven’t seen the performance specs for either configuration. 800v architecture and ~300 miles of range, which might translate to 220-240 charged to 80% would be fine for me but the Harvester sounds great as long as the performance doesn’t suffer too much, there is opportunity cost with either...

How Will Scout Keep Its Momentum Until 2027?

In my opinion Scout is what people WANTED the Cyber Truck to be. I don’t think they will have to do anything too unorthodox in order to drive a ton of interest. It just needs to back up what is being promised.

    Must haves to purchase…

I must have an email from Scout that says something about taking my money.

Speculation - will Scout use the new EV battery announced by VW?

-30 is cold. I had a few days last year where it hovered around -15. In my E TRON, it wasn’t so much charging in my garage, the range still took a hit, but it wasn’t horrible, but the big issue dragging it down you may consider that I ran into was parking it outside at work. So yes- car spent...

What does the base model look like to you?

It looks like a model that wouldn’t be released until much later than the fully loaded models so I don’t think I’ll worry much about it.

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

The braking on an EV also routes through the electric motor This is at a high level how battery regeneration works as well, it transfers that braking energy through the drive system. So the good news is your brakes can last a really long time. I haven’t seen an EV that will “power brake” like a...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I am totally at peace. I also actually understand the different levels of autonomous driving are. The fact is he is making claims this technology is “being rushed to market”. The SAE standard was released in 2014 & we are talking about a car that will hit the road in 2027. So yes, I am...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I’ll offer a different perspective. Level 2 is glorified cruise control, odd you do not understand that and As a subject matter expert I’m sure you are well aware of SAE standard J3016 & level 2+ is basically glorified cruise control where the driver remains in charge. You are the one who...
