  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Rain/fog Lights in the rear

Now, who would do such a thing? That would be so rude! :ROFLMAO:

    All terrain tires

I would normally agree, but the BFG KO3’s are a solid choice for Scout. I had the KO2’s on my Raptor and liked them. My brother ran two sets of KO2’s on his Chevy Colorado and got 60,000 miles out of each set before getting KO3’s this last time (his Colorado has over 170,000 miles in it). My TRX...

    All terrain tires

It’s better to have lockers and not need them, then to need them and not have them.

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

I’m really tempted to do this. I go back and forth. I’m glad we still have some time.

    All terrain tires

The Scout Concepts I’ve seen are all riding on BFG KO3’s. They are a great A/T with good highway manners.

Harvester Battery Stage of Charge Question

The Ram REV with the Pentastar has potential. But I agree, most truck owners want to hear a V8. The 5.7L Hemi is damn near bullet proof (I had two of them), and in the REV it could be a great combo.

Harvester Battery Stage of Charge Question

Ram is bringing back the TRX. That’s what Ram is good at (and making a mockery of a Diesel Power Wagon that really isn’t a Power Wagon). But to be fair, Scout hasn’t brought their product to market yet either. Right now Ram & Scout are in a tie when it comes to their EV lineup.

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

And there lies the problem. People become dependent on “safety features” and quit driving. I love the blind spot monitor in my mirrors, but it doesn’t stop me from doing shoulder checks, especially in heavy traffic (other drivers body language tells you more than a signal light). Adaptive Cruise...

    Rain/fog Lights in the rear

The clear lights are great for backing in the garage (my front windows are tinted to match the back windows), or when I’ve had to hook up a trailer at night. The yellows are good for super dusty areas when with a group, or really foggy highway conditions. For the yellow lights I originally...

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

The problem with blind spot cameras is they take your eyes away from your mirrors and the road. The camera is either in the driver display, or center infotainment screen. When I look at my left mirror, I don’t want to take my eyes away from my mirror to a screen, and then back again (all while...

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

It’s how my truck is currently set up. It gives a driver options on how they want to use cruise (or not use at all). The hands free driving kind of spooks me. But that could be 25 years of commercial driving experience.

Motorsports! (Can Include Scouts if anyone can find pictures or articles)

I want to see the Daytona 500 in EV style. Let’s see how charging and driving like lunatics work. That could be interesting.

Harvester Battery Stage of Charge Question

And if I’m going to go down this rabbit hole, here’s an interesting scenario: -I’m leaving in the morning for a 500 mile trip and plan to top off the gas tank on the other side of town before hitting the interstate (I’ve got 1/2 tank of gas). While packing and having dinner, I forget to charge...

Harvester Battery Stage of Charge Question

I’ll apologize in advance if this has been answered, but I don’t remember seeing this. I was watching the “Help me decide between BEV or EREV” subject, and after making a comment on switching modes, @cyure asked me a question that made me rethink the whole Harvester/EREV thing. I’m going to try...

Help me decide BEV or EREV

I’ve actually given this a lot of thought. The “auto” setting is probably the easier way to go, and maybe what I’d settle on eventually. But if I’m buying an EV, I thought running on pure EV when I can would allow me to get the best of both worlds. Most days I only drive 10 miles, so if I force...
