  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Scout delayed??

The tow rating is far more related to the Davis Dam test and cooling/power than the engine location. The teams are working to improve the numbers as much as they can.

    Frunk

The concepts are not indicative of what the final production vehicles frunk space will be.

    Scout Configuration Tool

    All good!

    Scout Configuration Tool

To answer your question, we plan to have a visualizer later this year. Actual configurator implies model, trims, and pricing, which will come later, closer to production.

    All terrain tires

A offroad tire like the K03 would likely only be available on the Offroad packages. Not sure yet what our standard tires will be. Probably varies by the wheel size.

    Battery technology

Our platform has a certain degree of "room" built into it to support new battery technology as it becomes available in the future. The problem with a LOT of these new developments is that many aren't quite ready for mass production yet. Secondly, because there is no volume production yet and it...

    Pre-production roadshow vehicles...

Yep for sure. True pre-production means they are vehicles we feel confident in selling (all final parts at quality 1) but are still working through a new assembly line and could have an occasional issue here or there. Employees will be driving around in these in addition to the tours we take...

    Pre-production roadshow vehicles...

When we get closer to production and market launch, there will be quite a few vehicles out there touring.

    Scout delayed??

It's all good. Duplicate posts are common, particularly when people are scanning topic titles to see if something has been posted. As pointed out, everything is moving forward and when/if we have anything to announce, we will always post it here ASAP.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

The German publications love their headlines and "sources say" articles - it all makes for good headlines people click on. We are still moving full steam ahead, bringing Scout back to market. Everything is moving forward and making good progress. Much like the guy who is balancing spinning...

Harvester Battery Stage of Charge Question

<details here are subject to change of course> The software will always consider your current power consumption, speeds, and destination (if you entered it into the nav system) to determine when to start the engine/generator to stay ahead of power consumption. Most often, the engine will fire...

    Carplay unconfirmed?!

Good question. I can try and find out.

Help me decide BEV or EREV

It isn’t an EA288. It will be an engine modified and simplified for our use.

    Carplay unconfirmed?!

We will support phone mirroring. 😎 These companies require contracts and money to make official claims.

Help me decide BEV or EREV

We are very aware of the concern here and the teams are working towards final numbers that close the gap. Stay tuned...

    New Spotlight

No. That was one of the earlier concept car builds done before the current reveal vehicles. It doesn't have an actual interior (thus the dark-tinted windows).

    Website updates

All on our list of things to improve. :D

    Website updates

We are in the process of working on a big refresh of the website. We are also working on a visualizer to be released later this year. Lots going on, so hang in there.
