  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Assuming you can charge at a Level II or Level III charger in the area you need the extended range, sure.

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

My factory radiator sprung a leak on this trip, since its the original 22 year old radiator with plastic tanks. I ordered a new CSF radiator from Summit Racing and it should be delivered tomorrow. It's over 50% thicker than the factory one and used B style cooling tubes that give even more...

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

Welp. I done it again. Went off-roading a few weekends ago and blew one of my long travel bags. I didnt think I needed limit straps and extended bump stops because the extended travel airbag manufacturer in Australia called the shock manufacturer (Dobsinsons) to confirm they can play nice...

    All terrain tires

I dont get hung up on factory tires because manufacturers usually spec a different tire than you get off the shelf. They tend to ride smoother and quieter to help sell the car on a test drive, but wear out much faster than the normal retail tires do because they use softer compounds to...

Nope. My fat a-- already eats up too much of the payload as it is. We also carry a LOT of crap when we travel so I can't give up all that bed space. If I did an Arctic trip in a truck instead of the motorcycle, it would definitely consider building one though. Just having fun with...

Air Suspension vs. Coils - Long Term Durability vs. Real Capability

Welp. I done it again. Went off-roading a few weekends ago and blew one of my long travel bags. I didnt think I needed limit straps and extended bump stops because the extended travel airbag manufacturer in Australia called the shock manufacturer (Dobsinsons) to confirm they can play nice...

Tesla abandoned their Cybertruck bed mounted battery. If they can't do it I doubt any other manufacturer will either.

The Kubota V1505 can produce 25kW at 3,000RPM and weighs 243lbs. Its 23.9"H x 22.3"L x 15.6"W Then add the generator for a total of around 320lbs. Spline the little diesel into a DC permanent magnet pancake generator that are usually good for 95% efficiency. Then that is wired to a voltage...

Love the idea!!! I think you would need to forgo most of the functional storage in the bed and a big chunk of payload to fit the gas/diesel generator, LFP battery generator that cleans up the voltage and acts as an electrical buffer, and necessary fuel bladders/tanks, however you would still...

Scout Traveler and Terra Photo Collections and Wallpapers

Happy Friday! I am leaving work early today to go camping with the kiddos at an all weekend Boy Scout thing. Pray for me, and them. It would be a lot easier if I had the Terra with all its storage and power capabilities, can't wait!

It sounds like you dont lose your "Place in line" but certain options will ultimately determine on when it's produced and delivered.

Nuance is a dying art. Sometimes both parties involved in an incident are idiots, but people for whatever reason, still try to pick a side. I think it's been an issue long before the proliferation of social media. People used to love their cigarettes so much that they would buy expensive...

That’s the part I don’t get. Not only are the financially married companies, RJ Scaringe has always been very firm on his message of MANY Electric Vehicle manufacturers being required for them to be a viable option in the future. People need choices that align with their values and lifestyles...

Honestly I think it's mostly vapid idiots that are holding Rivian stocks and think this will boost R2 sales.

Rivian would be insolvent if VW wasn't interesting in their IP for Scout.
