  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

It's about as dangerous as asking what oil to use. lmao

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

The website claims production begins in late 2026. I can't say whether or not they will though. https://www.telotrucks.com/support

They are about as real as Scouts are at the moment.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I know people say they love KEI trucks, but I haven’t seen much enthusiasm for the TELO, which is just an American made KEI BEV. Really hope they succeed. Would be a perfect vehicle for folks who live in the city but want to do truck things.

    All terrain tires

You may think it’s the same tire, but it is a strong possibility that it isn’t. This is a standard practice amongst all auto manufacturers. Unless Jamie can explicitly confirm they will be using the same off the shelf tires you can but at Discount Tire, it’s safe to assume they will spec...

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

I was too excited to get this installed after I got off work, and forgot to take more photos. She’s in there now though! My old one was leaking where the plastic tank meets the aluminum housing on the very bottom of the drivers side. Looks like I caught it early.

2026 Lightship vs Pebble Flow All Electric Trailers

Check this one out. The trailer itself is the EREV.
  10. Chavannigans

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

I switched from Harvester Terra to BEV Terra reservation despite being in a charging desert. (Only one Level II charger in a 40 mile radius) If I have a Level II installed at home I can get to just about any area that has a decent charging infrastructure. I just need to overcome the irrational...

"Khajiit has many wares." is all I remember. Ran into the dude on my way to the WalMart in Windhelm.

Maybe I misunderstood, but I thought they achieved faster charging speeds when they removed one of the cooling plates?

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

11C charging to full in less than 10 minutes without active thermal management is wild. Looks like they are not as close to Vaporware as I thought. More 3rd party validation to come. Scaling will be the most critical step in making it a reality. Looks like another validation test will be...

    Harvester

I know its really stupid, but the iPhone Air experiment helped me overcome this anxiety, well most of it. I am looking forward to the BEV marshmallow roast. I know you're kidding, but it would be really cool if there was an EV only off road rally event that included vehicles like Scouts...

    All terrain tires

I think you missed the part about them usually having softer compounds. The K03 Scout will install will likely not be the same K03 you buy at a tire shop. Most people dont realize they are different tires despite being the same size and model. Car manufacturers typically get multiple versions...

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

Installed the Perry Parts bump stops last night. Here is the factory bump stop vs the PP BS (I didn’t use that acronym to save time, it just appealed to my inner child) The factory rear and new PP BS The rear PP BS are also in now…. But I was pretty miffed when I realized the remote...

That sounds like a fun project!

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

I can try to measure them tonight. The Key Cones vary between 4.75" and 5.25" from what I have read. The Perry Parts bump stops are pretty neat. They are 3D printed and have air channels to cushion hard impacts but also smooth gentle ones by letting air escape faster. Some people say they are...

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

Yep. Usually Eibach makes all of the coils for all of these companies. Sometimes if you read the spring rates and lengths, they are identical between companies and just have different colors and prices. I think Toytec has some Superflex progressive coils that are light but also droop like...
