  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

What Song Will You Play First in Your New Scout?

There will be many songs played but first song is and always will be a different Steppenwolf, Magic Carpet Ride. It's good enough for Zefram Cochrane, it's good enough for me.

    Colors

Beige or oh oh Champagne! I keed I keed. The pastels from the 50's would be pretty nice but I think you need more chrome to set them off. The teenager in me would like an almost black purple metallic.

In the passenger seat, who would you take?

I am contractually obligated to say, my wife. But to be fair she can only handle riding with me for so long. It may a bit cliche but I'd take my dad. We can, and do, talk about almost anything. Books, science, religion, politics, pop culture, music, everything. He has his opinions and I have...

    Must haves to purchase…

I was more speaking to the endless hype we get from Tesla, all the hubub around small affordable EV's in general, and the comments above regarding the ID.Buzz. I'm fine with keeping people interested and I love me some speculation, but I don't want to see feature creep set in causing a delay in...

    Must haves to purchase…

If they can simply come out with something resembling what they have been showing off, I'd be happy. I'm sick of the endless hype from everyone these days.

What are you driving until release?

Daily driving a 2015 F150. It's getting to the point of needing the 100k service stuff though. I'm not gonna make it another year without shelling out for at least some major maintenance. Fingers crossed there are no big issues with either the truck or the factory building it's replacement.

Are factory deliveries for reservation holders being considered?

So hoping this becomes a thing. I'm another in Upstate SC and this would be a nice way to get to know the new vehicle. With the cost of cars going up and up, it's value added perks like this that make it feel worth it.
