  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout Traveler Debuts in New Pacific Mist Color

Never had an issue with leather in my ford(s). They will show some wear (like a good belt or glove) after a few years but the only real issue I’ve ever had is I caught the front driver seat with the end of my ‘pew-pew’ choke tube bird hunting one day which is rough/sharp and it scalped a little...

    Scout Color Poll #1

Don’t forget when you catch the back of your arm on the seatbelt buckle, so hot it takes your brain longer to process the pain than it does to recognize the smell of burnt hair and skin!

Poll: Would you use a Scout configurator tool if pricing and details are not finalized yet?

Love the idea I’ve the configuration tool but to echo others I would want some options shown finalized like color, interior trim etc. Also can’t wait to build too many different versions and get the “We’re sorry you have reached the maximum number of saved configurations.” message! 🤣

Most Iconic Location(s) for Scout Ads

That’s the beauty of the Harvester version, no need to be totally reliant on charging stations. Charge on the go or in the little small town diner parking lot!

Most Iconic Location(s) for Scout Ads

Will be interesting to see if SM follows what Ford did with their Bronco Ambassadors. Basically give/lease for a really good deal some outdoor “influencer” types that already go out and explore all the fun cool photogenic places off the beaten path and show off what the vehicle can do and then...

    Sound suppression

Will be interesting to see how sound is factored into the design. Was in Denver this week for a trip and rented a 4-door bronco soft top. I have to say the road noise was terrible. My F150 is super quiet inside which I have become used to. Rain/snow and some highway driving was not really that...

    Trailer Options?

I know we won’t see detailed performance/range impact numbers for the Terra and Traveler for a while but the projected 10k and 7k towing capacity is impressive. Do we have any projections on the GVWR numbers to get a better idea on what real world applications will be like? I feel like a light...

Any Update on NADA and Our fight for DTC?

Looking forward to factory delivery with a long road trip home to Texas, maybe with a detour through Smokey Mountains NP

    What did you reserve?

For sure! Looks like ~75-80% of the comments are going with that option. Less battery with the generator hopefully won’t add a ton of cost

    What did you reserve?

Nothing yet, $100 reservation just gets you a spot in line. I’m betting we will see the different options/trim levels in the next few months to keep activity & interest alive along with colors and accessories slowly being published. There are a lot of great accessory manufacturers out there so...

    What did you reserve?

Traveller with the Harvester Gas + Electric. Cannot wait for some of the options to be shown, bumper replacement and roof rack photos looked slick! Hope they offer factory pick up so you can road trip home cross country!

    Starting the Scout

I like the idea of something different, maybe a manual turn/toggle switch on the column with some weight behind it. If the keyfob is going to be in my pocket or linked to a phone having to get something out to connect somewhere isn’t ideal. We’ve been spoiled in the modern push button Bluetooth...

    Scout Color Poll #1

I just hope they offer a tan leather/vinyl interior, and some lighter cloth colors. Not sure why automakers love a black interior, they clearly don’t live anywhere it is hot in the summer!
