  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Carplay unconfirmed?!

RJ has given a fairly legit reason why they don’t include CarPlay but Scout has shown its intent in demo UX, but only time will tell, I only use CarPlay for work, since I use Apple Maps instead of clogging up my address history on my preferred map apps, but I could live without CarPlay personally

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Like it’s already tight with these two, I previously used my L1 cable along the wall to be a bump stop for my door, now I can’t do that because we may occasionally need the cord to reach across to top up the volt, and the cables on the L2s are so annoying when they lay on the ground, but have no...

I already know I’d have to rearrange everything on my side of the garage to possibly fit the Terra and it would be tight, I didn’t even think about the doors gaps

I get the idea, and request, however I hate the charge port door on my car and the SilveradoEV you have to push it in for the popper to open then you can grab the door and open it, then you have to press it back in to close the popper, I wanna push it and it just open then close fully when I...

    Regenerative braking

Not fully related, but the mention of brake lights reminded me, Gen 1 Bolts would turn off the lights after a full stop (or below a certain force), but hold the car in place

    Try before you buy?

I'll promise to make plenty of videos and test it properly while being brutally honest, if that helps 😁

    Try before you buy?

I mean.. I’ll buy my BEV Terra without a test drive, if it’s among the first off the line😉

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

RJ talked about some of this in an interview recently

Want a Scout. Don't want the Drama!

Public charging isn’t always more expensive, public L2 has a chance to be free or just slightly more than home charging, our Kohl’s charges $.12 Kw, but the mall is free (if you can find one working) for DCFC here it’s $.46 for Tesla SC, or the new DCFCs at the electric company is $.30. But...

Wasn’t there issues with the 4xEs catching fire to the point of just being cancelled? At least the gladiator variant

My partner wanted a maverick hybrid, until they found out it wasn’t a plug in, I feel like ford has dropped the ball on some great vehicles for the US market. Personally never been a ford guy, but my most reliable truck to date was 01 Lariat with the 5.4 Triton 300k miles and the rear...

Want a Scout. Don't want the Drama!

I also have to admit I don’t understand how someone could feel a dealership experience would help scout but from personal experience I can’t even stand to deal with my dealership when it comes to getting my cars service done, which is just a tire rotation every other month because of the miles...

Want a Scout. Don't want the Drama!

It's a little bit more than face value.I provided real world numbers from real world vehicles. One of which, being the less than extremely efficient rivian r1s with a large pack and quad motor. And that might be a truck, verse, a sedan, but a full size pickup truck is going to be very thirsty and...

Want a Scout. Don't want the Drama!

Not apples to apples, but a further comparison on the Rivian compared to the charger, using the Rivian‘s data over 9000 miles it used around 6000 kW so if you assume that 100% of those were home charged (at least at my local rate) you get close to $550 - $600 for those 6000 kWs, but to get 9000...

This is less than half of my required public charging at Tesla from September, most of which was 40/50% to 80%

Want a Scout. Don't want the Drama!

Thanks for sharing! 😀 Home charging is an absolute game changer, when I got my car I was on L1 90% of the time, for going to work at Amazon I would be charged by the morning most of the time, but my car wasn’t always ready to just go anywhere, still plenty for around town, but I would use DCFC...

I found me “December diagnostic” I’m not sure how OnStar calculates this but if the numbers are to believed that amount of fuel, 169 Gallons, would cost $509. For the month of December 2025, however the anticipated total mileage in the gas car would total closer to 4.3k
