  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Scout delayed??

As someone with a tendency to back into spots it'll be nice to get some benefit from that when shopping

    Scout delayed??

It's the thing thats been turning me away for the GM EV SUVs. I want my frunk

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I can think about hamsters quietly in my car and get ads for cages, but search and look into slate for days and never get a single ad. What strange times we live in

Fair question, im also curious how the cards work fully, I know older teslas you had to tap them to the door and somewhere in the car. I really just want to approach the truck and have it unlock for me without any fumbling for an object

Slate has ads? Outside of some YouTube videos I dont think I've seen a thing about them

    Scout delayed??

I also think ford and RAM intend use V6 engines they'll need more room and will be inserted in a platform that hasn't changed much in a decade, scout is starting clean and plans to use a small 4 cylinder giving alot more engineering flexibility

    Scout delayed??

I doubt they'll just give up the frunk, its a big appeal to EVs and im sure many EREV buyers want it to

Harvester Battery Stage of Charge Question

RAM could be good at EVs (though the Jeep and Dodge point otherwise) they won’t know for a while because they’re too afraid to try, but they built a base around V8s and for a lot of those people it’s hard to try something new or in many cases give up the sound

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Maybe I’m misreading, but it seems more like someone is taking VWs German cost cutting activities and just applying it as a hard possibility on scout, but unless we hear it from someone within Scout I wouldn’t take it as fact

    Rain/fog Lights in the rear

My bolt has this issue with its center mounted reverse light, it’s too dim. However GM has the issue of using it’s reverse lights for the “ courtesy lighting” so the simple act of exiting or unlocking the car in a parking lot will cause people to stop thinking they’re about to exit the spot, I...

Does ford offer their own insurance? Could be a way to “entice” people to switch if the price is right

    Mirrors

I mean.. why not? These are adventure vehicles, it would make sense to have a “manual” type control for when you need a little extra room, but when you park and exit they fold automatically to make extra room in tight parking spaces

My current car has a fob, and while it works fine I have to find small pockets for it, some underwear today or sports leggings I used to wear for work have a phone pocket designed into them, and that’s how I carried it in the warmer months, my hoodie has a small zipper pocket on the sleeve and I...

    Carplay unconfirmed?!

It’s probably still to early to be confirming CarPlay, since Scout is still refining the UX, the language changes could be as simple as an attempt at under-promising just in case CarPlay isn’t functioning in the UX or has to be cut because it interferes with something else. However everything up...
