  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Dixxon partnership, & EV whirring

Experience from my EV as someone who has the unfortunate of spending a lot of time in various parking lot most pedestrians don’t care when they hear the sound or they’re just to oblivious to hear it unless it’s the sound of a straight pipe truck. However, there have also been many people that...

Concern about the complexity and cost of repairs/maintenance for EREV

BEV will be entering a market with competition, mainly from GM with; hummer, Sierra, and Silverado, but also people will cross shop with Rivian even though it’s a midsize truck, ford has bowed out of the EV truck market for now. There might be other EREVs by the time time the harvester makes it...

    Spare Tire, Backpack, or Bald?

My personal experience underbody spares suck. I’ve had them destroyed or eaten way over miles of driving and by the time I need it, it’s become useless or incredibly dangerous. I would rather keep the spare at home and just bring it with when going adventuring, but that’s my experience

    Scout Color Poll #1

If the outer edge of the lower curve of the S met with the circle I would like it more because it looks like the S could square off instead of curved that makes any sense
  5. RodorW

    Scout Color Poll #1

I feel like the S would look good standing alone , but the points that run off to the right would need to to round out in reasonable way

    Scout Color Poll #1

Could it be the number of edge contacts that the S makes with the hexagon itself, breaking the hexagon into multiple parts for the outer color to bleed through? Or from looking at the design on the patch, maybe it’s the hard cut on the lower left of the S since for me looking at it. It looks a...

    Scout Color Poll #1

Yeah the old scouts had International Harvester “IH” as the brand badge, and the Scout script was more just a name plate. Now Scout is the brand and needs to sit alongside the big Blue ovals, Bowties, Ram heads, and Compasses
  8. RodorW

    Scout Color Poll #1

It appears white on the my iPhone and I think that the hexagon looks a little cleaner in white, but the S design is perfect, looks clean in Script from with the other letters and stands alone as logo in a pretty creative way
  9. RodorW

    Scout Color Poll #1

Maybe that’s because you’re just seeing as an S and not a river through the hills or whatever it’s sort of look like

    Scout Color Poll #1

Are you referring to the S of the logo, the strange hexagon, or the entire thing? I don’t personally jive with the hexagon.

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

My only issue with the bolt isn’t its size but specifically its trunk space, I keep my adapters, roadside emergency kit, and bungee cords in the foam thing in the bottom, I keep a raincoat, heavy jacket, reflective vest, tire inflator and other small things above that, and on the panel above...

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

All of my GM vehicles I have experience with from 2010-24 when you put it gear it locks the doors, and after parking the doors stay locked until you open the door, then there’s settings for locking after exit for time, sound, and lights. And on the Rivian EDVs when you walk away with the key...

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

Depending on the market around but the Bolt is a great deal, I was surprised to find a blazer and a lightning for the same or under what I’m paying on my bolt

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

The EUV is also a great first EV, it’s not to different from a normal car and pretty good on range and estimations, not a fast charging car, but I will miss my Bolt once the time comes to trade it it

    Spare Tire, Backpack, or Bald?

I hope the current size doesn’t change much, unless it gets bigger, I looks like there’s a lot of area lost to the plastic walls, I know it’s the wheel wells, motor, and other operational parts but I won’t say to more frunk, since it should be weather resistant and a lot better than any tonneau...

    Spare Tire, Backpack, or Bald?

To be fair though the concept Frunks aren’t finalized and it has been stated they might get a little smaller

    Spare Tire, Backpack, or Bald?

I’ve only seen mention of the underbody spare being for the Terra

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

Cabana top with rolling rear window would be cool to see
  19. RodorW

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Anyone with knowledge of SW/HW engineering able to lend some insight into this thought. We know the concepts have a Start/Stop button on the wheel. Could Scout make it an option for those that want it? Either by making the button a configuration option, or add a digital “bypass” so you can...

    A Gift From Scout Motors

Could be the Terra got sent out first since there are less reservations for it and while I don’t think the poster would be distinguishing between harvester and all electric if that was the case, then I would assume the smaller percentage of reservations, the quicker they get the gift
