  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Long distance EV towing video

The funny thing about sparsely populated areas of the country.. Most people don't live in them. That's why they're sparsely populated.

    SCOUT TRAVELER FAQ

People checking the box for Harvester and insisting they need it will never plug it in, think an hour to drive is too far, never leave their zip codes lol. It's 85% a gimmick to calm anxiety.

    SCOUT TRAVELER FAQ

Extremely unlikely that it's binary. Extremely likely range is infinite if you keep putting gas in. Extremely likely they never get plugged in if they work that way.

    Long distance EV towing video

That was the whole deal with the scam that was Lordstown. Sell them to fleets. The fear mongers' who absolutely know they work for a living because they're men and men work and men drive trucks AND THEY'RE MEN... Tradespeople, plumbers, electricians, cable guys... They move in like a...

Current EV owners…are you staying BEV or switching to Harvester?

Here is a collection of things I've hauled and towed the past 3 months alone. A Bobcat 610 skidsteer, 200 miles round trip, single charge on a Scout. Set of iron big block Chevy heads in the bed today, 230 lbs, probably no real impact. 1978 C10 shell, 900 miles up from Arkansas, 1800 miles...

    Long distance EV towing video

Almost no one buying any truck is ever towing anything 2000 miles. Most people don't even own a trailer. 30% of truck owners will never put a hitch in. The small percentage who do, don't do it very often. 8% of truck owners tow weekly. Those who do it very often, should choose an ICE...

Current EV owners…are you staying BEV or switching to Harvester?

I tow, and haul, all the time. Way more weight than average, way more often than average. If I buy a Scout, it will be BEV, I don't care at all that the two times a year I drive cross country I'll have to stop and charge. Of course, on the internet, no one leaves their driveway without 10k...

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

I drive my rwd Tesla everywhere I want to go in Michigan without an issue. I drive my RWD Ram everywhere I want to go in Michigan without issue. I drive my RWD Jeep, everywhere I want to go without issue. I literally want something to sit on, something to hold onto, and a place to store...

    Northern Climate FAQ

My wife drives a used Tesla Model 3 with 114,000 miles on it 120-150 miles a day, every day. It hasn't been above 20F here in Michigan in a month. Was -18 last Saturday. She manages to charge as needed and go everywhere she needs to go in total, normal comfort with no negative impact to her...

That would be the entire point lol.

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

    I switched my Scout pre-order for a Slate pre-order.

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

If they do, I'll order one. But no need for me to sit around on a preorder list at this point in time when all evidence points to them wanting to market a Rivian competitor, premium vehicle.

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

I still want the cheapest, most basic one I can get. Canceled my pre-order because I got concerned about every concept having rich corinthian leather and white everything. I want a vinyl bench, rubber floors, an actual ruggedized simple, capable vehicle. I'm not after premium, I'm after...

    SCOUT TRAVELER FAQ

I'm looking forward to a configurator, may change my mind back in favor of pre-ordering again.

That's true of my Gladiator as well.

    Jeep Recon

Ah, well, there you have it, 100% of Jeep owners take off 100% of their doors 100% of the time because they're hardcore.

Is there anything that would make you switch from the BEV to the EREV?

I canceled my pre-order a ways back, but may go ahead with one still if the Terra comes in basic and cheap enough for my likes. There's absolutely nothing that could convince me to go EREV, I never want to purchase another ICE truck again.

How about a cheap version that i can actually take offroad

I take my 50,000.00 vehicle offroad as often as I can 🤷‍♂️

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

No, Rivian is too much for me, and too small, but as Ram, Chevy, Ford, drop prices, I can probably get into a new truck in the next 18 months for under 60k and that's all that's really important to me.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I was never a believer in a 27 launch lol, but I figured late 28 maybe. But, for me, I'm out, looks like in the next year there will be plenty of trucks I can grab in my price range, no need to wait years.
