  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    FB find of the day

Even after going through both of @cyure 's Nationals & Chicago threads, this is the first time I've noticed the "cluster" is just another tablet/screen: It would be nice if it was more integrated into the dash. The main screen feels intentionally designed & I don't have an issue with it, but...

    FB find of the day

Might be a good idea to add this to the main site: https://www.scoutmotors.com/community. Seems to be a couple of Stories on the blog site that haven't made it to the main. (@Jamie@ScoutMotors - is this where I tag you?)

Traveler or Terra for Road Trips/Daily

The Traveler will be replacing my 2014 Dodge Dart for daily driving/road tripping. My wife has a Tacoma, so we've got the larger Lowe's trips covered (I assume there will always be more of those).

    New Scout Colors

I need to make sure to keep my wife away from the Silo promo images, otherwise there might be a fight for the color choice. lol

    Schnauzers of Scout Motors

Not a Schnauzer, but figured I'd share my mutt & his sisters: Baxter Chicken Piglet

    CYURE GOES TO NATIONALS!!! Yay!!!

Really digging this semi-gloss matte paint on the Terra - feels different (for whatever reason) from other matte paints I've seen on cars. Would be nice if it's an option for more colors, cause I really like the coppery-orange on the Traveler promo pics.

    Vehicle Visualizer/Configurator Tool

I was just thinking about this today. I only just made my reservation on New Year's Day, even though I've been following along for a few months, and would love to start tinkering with a build. That and more pictures/videos. I don't know how some of you who have had reservations for years are...

    "Harvester" badge for non-Harvester models

I proposed to my wife on Half Dome, so that was my first thought (the current design even kind of looks like it in an abstract way). I'd totally go for a more explicitly HD-based design in that line-art style.

    "Harvester" badge for non-Harvester models

I didn't even notice the combine icon! It was just visually appealing before that, but that's a very cool nod/inclusion.

    "Harvester" badge for non-Harvester models

One (admittedly minor) visual flair I like on the pics released so far is the Harvester badge on the front fender(s): Not sure if that's the cap to fill the tank, so it's actually functional vs decorative? But it does look nice, and might be neat to have as an option for non-Harvester models...

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

Just put in a reservation for the Traveler - the Harvester option is still in the back of my mind, but I'd definitely prefer a 100% EV. Guess I'll have to start paying closer attention to charging infrastructure!
