  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

New Scott Keogh Video! 2025 Thank You

Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see BEV production at launch Q4 2027. But already delayed once from 2026 production start, such things just happen. And I don't see BEV production starting until after 2028 election, so MY29.

Scout Concepts At LA Auto Show, November 21-30, 2025

Nice images. Yeah I wouldn't want to look through it but overhead would be fine - I don't look straight up while driving very often... and of course steel roof would be acceptable alternative.

Scout Concepts At LA Auto Show, November 21-30, 2025

Yeah that's exactly it. I have no desire for a roof that opens in any way, and in a BEV I have no desire for a mechanical shade or other moving parts. So electrochromic would be perfect combo of fixed roof + natural light. Alternative would be steel roof, which would suffice. But if...

New Scott Keogh Video! 2025 Thank You

Honestly I think 'production start late-2027' really means the completed factory is fully open for the annual employee holiday party. I don't expect any meaningful numbers to roll out until early 2028 as MY28. And maybe just EREV to start as rumored/speculated, perhaps followed by BEV in...

Scout Concepts At LA Auto Show, November 21-30, 2025

I hope the electrochromic roof gets reconsidered, though I realize take rate might be low. Especially on a BEV, just seems more intuitive than mechanical shade, w/ no moving parts, etc. Perhaps it gets developed/offered now that Audi is in the game too?

EV reservation holders, would you consider the Harvester

I can wait for the BEV but only for so long. Based on current offers, I think my only realistic backup plan is Cadillac Lyriq once refreshed for MY27-28, although its a relatively low-rider. Wife generally likes MB but my self image doesn't want to be seen in one. I hope Scout doesn't...

November 2025 Scout Motors Production Center Update

Helpful suggestion from someone that often struggles to tell time correctly - tie the title of these updates to the publication date. Current titles can seem out of synch and dated (no pun) - December 18, 2025 by Jamie Vondruska Scout News November 2025 Scout Motors Production Center Update...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Still hope to see a Traveler concept version one day that's not overtly tuned to the offroaders' use case (and cleanly shows off the split tailgate). Don't shortchange the appeal of retro-modern design + physical switchgear to normies that never leave pavement.

    Scouts for tall people

Re: headroom for the tall - wild guess is steel roof will have vaulted ceiling w/ plenty of headroom. An electrochromic roof might have been the same but don't expect that to be offered (FWIW - this would be my first choice; maybe it will be developed/offered now that Audi is joining in?)...

    Google Gemini AI Scout Images

A valiant effort despite the wrong cast! I do like the beam-up effect. And the ship in the sky reminds me of this scene from Battlestar Galactica some years ago -

How about a selection to make it sound like a tractor? Or a UFO? Or Eddie Murphy repeatedly singing "Party All the Time"?

Never thought I'd apply the term 'Butterface' to a car, but that pale butter yellow Telluride is it.

    A Gift From Scout Motors

No doubt that -is- Jamie. Perhaps keeping the BEV assembly team occupied as EREV gets prioritized? (Satire, people, satire.)

    A Gift From Scout Motors

I did that for wife two years ago w/ Grand Highlander Hybrid. Hid it elsewhere in neighborhood then moved it to driveway late Christmas eve.

I went to the website a few days go - before getting the email - and got the prompt to enter my address. Now just got the email and returned to website - did not get the prompt again, address was parked (no pun) in my profile.

I'm sure they'll leave Tysons - near VW made some sense getting underway, but over time more distance (literally) and closer proximity to factory makes sense. Use 1710 Commonwealth Ave, Charlotte for a sense of where it is - past downtown Charlotte from the airport. I'd bet we'll see some kind...
