  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

Good question... Hopefully we receive an answer to this in the new year. If it will come stock with 33s then I will take a gander that at least 33s will slide under the vehicle. I could be totally wrong though... I know on my current Ford, I can fit a 33 in the spare well but it's real tight, I...

With the BEV the spare can be mounted under the floor where the harvester is going. I can always use more storage on long trips so having the option to place the spare tire under the vehicle and then attach an extra storage space to the rear tire holder is a win.

    Home Charger Reviews and FAQs

@Jamie@ScoutMotors it would also be beneficial to know if Scouts will have vehicle to load/home capability as well. Perhaps it will be an option and not standard? Some manufacturers now have bi-directional charging as an option but it's not standard equipment. If V2L/H is going to be standard...

Joining the EV gang while waiting for Scout!

In all cases hard wired is safer and better. The majority of the quality/well known chargers on the marker have ways to limit amps pulled either via dip switches or via mobile app. My Emporia Pro is capable of outputting 48 amps to the vehicle but right now I have it set for 40 amps. Hardwired...

Yes, newer vehicles tend to cost more to ensure as payout if they're totaled is higher. Not sure on the boutique aspect on lower volume vehicles but if there are not a lot of replacement parts available I can see insurers taking that into consideration when calculating rates.

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

The EV version of the Silverado and Sierra are brand new vehicles, nothing structural was carried over from the existing ICE GM trucks. They do have two Ultium batteries stacked under the cab in a split pack configuration, that does account for some of the ground clearance concerns. This vehicle...

Look into chargers that have dynamic load management capability. This may allow you to keep current panel without the expense of upgrading to a 200 amp panel. There are less failure points with a hard wired charger and if you have to run wire to the garage space it will be similar cost wise to...

It's insurance provider specific, driver specific (prior driving history), and vehicle and trim level specific (brand, model crash rating, driver assistance/safety features). Some brands and models fair better in the eyes of insurance companies than others.

    Rear Wiper Hopes & Dreams!

Rear facing cameras are much more susceptible to road spray obscuring the lens which distorts the image. I can usually still see out of a grimey window but not so much a dirt caked camera lens. With that said, most SUVs have a sprayer on the camera that is triggered when the rear window wash...
