  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Yes it was... LimeWire was Napsters edgier cousin... pick the wrong torrent and your PC might end up with a trojan horse... Pick the right torrent and you might have snagged Nelli's latest album for free...

It's certainly a small volume seller currently with the two current models starting at high price points. But and this is a big but... If the R2 can come in at $45,000 and offer decent range (I'm thinking base range of 280 miles?) then they have the potential for a very high volume seller. They...

They are too long, I agree. I put them on my second screen and let them run in the background while doing other work, really only tune into the stops and the moments where they encounter issues. Since EVs are rolling computers it has been interesting to see the issues the teams encountered so...

I don't hate the policy. There has to be a way to continue funding road infrastructure maintenance and improvements. Policies such as this one will likely roll out in other states in the coming years. As time goes on these policies will be revised and refined. Heck registering an EV in PA is a...

Don't believe they had removed steering wheel controls. VW like many others had removed buttons from there center stack infotainment systems and placed the functions on the screen. Things like radio and HVAC functions were now taking place on a screen and not using buttons or knobs.

Road trip for factory delivery? May need to coordinate a convoy of PA/mid-Atlantic folks that want to take advantage of factory delivery. That is if delivery times line up :)

Every time I head to the Philly area I always find a reason to drink to much… just so happens I’m out that way 5-6 times a year for a week at a time 😂 I try to limit the consumption while home and just enjoy the libations on special occasions. 😊

Your thinking of V2L which uses an adapter plugged into the cars charge port and outputs power using the vehicles onboard AC inverter. V2H capability should be able to output 50+ amps using the DC connection on the vehicle that bypasses the vehicles onboard inverter system. With V2H the EVSE...

I’d like to also have the nema 30 amp plug as well, I have several use cases where it would be beneficial while away from home. I also have the manual transfer installed as well with the outlet for home backup. Unfortunately I don’t have gas so no heat except for space heaters when power goes...

    Home Charger Reviews and FAQs

V2L isn’t the same as the 240 volt nema plug, that plug is using the vehicle as a generator. V2L is using a device plugged into the cars charging port that may supply 120 volt ac power up to a certain amperage. V2H is intended to use a vehicles DC connection and an inverter built into an EVSE...

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

Unfortunately I checked and this is no longer offered on 2024+ Ultium vehicles. The new 2027 Bolt will use GMs current driver information center (DIC) as well and will not have the max min and median range estimates as part of the DIC
