  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

It’s so hard to show perspective. Here’s a couple where I’m standing in front of the Traveler and then sitting in the frunk. And then one from Nats I’m not sure if I ever posted.

When you walk up on the front of the Scout it just looks really wide because the hood is so wide. For example my jeep has a lot of elevation changes. It has the power dome hood so that sticks up higher in the middle, then the sides of the hood are lower, and then the fender flares is lower...

Me too. My son is really interested in that one because it looks like a rally car.

It’s the width. And it looks even wider because it doesn’t have any elevation changes between the hood and a fender flare.

Now the question I have is these things we are seeing in the R2 UX, will we see a Scout version that’s similar but just looks more Scout than Rivian?

I consider the Supra a BMW in a Toyota suit. 😹

It really is. It can also look silver in certain lights. It’s definitely different.

Welcome to the community! Thanks for posting. That’s really helpful information. Are you replacing the Lightning or will your Scout be in addition to?

That’s Pacific Mist. That color looks green in certain lights. This picture my husband took illustrates that perfectly. One side is blue. One side is green. The lighting changes this color a lot.

Okay what’s the weirdest one you have ever seen?

    Wait. That was real?!??

I suspect the first ones will be very popular at Cars and Coffee.

I think that’s a great idea. Ever since an uber driver took me to a dirt lot I absolutely refuse to go in them unless I’m with a group of people.

Oh yeah I wonder who it is. I ran and made mine while reveal was still happening, but same. I wonder who was first and also how many were made on reveal day.

It would be nice if there were enough of us going to the factory that they had a shuttle like a hotel.

Oh that’s right, I forgot about that return policy. They did have that. Well what does everything think about that? It would inspire confidence that’s for sure. They could limit the miles to 500 or 1000. I wish I could have done that with our second Miata. We only had it 600 miles and...
