  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

For me the “small” range on the Harvester battery is probably not an issue. I doubt I drive 10 miles per day, so the “pavement princess” moniker is on target (retirement has its perks). At 2 miles/kWh that’s 10 days or more to use 80% of my charge on a “70-ish” kWh battery. With the Scout I’m...

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

I vacillate between all three sizes. I like to ‘sit tall in the saddle’ when driving and want to be as high as possible. But then I think those smaller tires offer their own benefits. And ultimately it’s only 2” difference between 33” and 37”.

My WAG is that they will start producing both models in proportion to the mix of the actual orders.

The regulations say at 80” you must have marker lights. The Scout specs say width is 79.9”

    Scout Color Poll #1

The Aristocrat color scheme with a Levi interior would be absolutely awesome. That might even run a close second to the Bumble Bee.

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

I don’t either. I’m expecting 2 miles/kWh with the Terra. (Though I’d be THRILLED with numbers approaching these figures.

EV reservation holders, would you consider the Harvester

On a related EREV note; here is an interesting concept for an engine. The small size, layout, and steady state rpm parameters would make a lot of sense in the Harvester.

This is not a fault of Capitalism. It is greed—which rears its head under any political system. It is a moral failing.

My wife drove for Flex for a time, using our Avalon hybrid. I can tell you the Slate would have been a much better solution for the mileage and rural routes she was getting.
