  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    What’s your hobby

Hooray for unconventional students! I graduated college in ‘94 and got my master’s in 2024!

    What’s your hobby

I played some D&D and a lot of Vampire and Shadowrun. It was great fun - even went to a LARP in Atlanta. Still have all the books and dice, just not the time.

    List Price

nice way to introduce yourself to the community. Now try again with less antagonism and fewer exclamation points. Even if they do make something smaller and cheaper it won't prevent you from buying the biggest most expensive version they make. Calm down and don't be rude. Especially to Scoutsie.

    What’s your hobby

I understand the appeal of the dolls and toys - we have a huge collection of action figures (i.e. dolls that are "ok for boys to have") and other figurines. It is fun to set up an entire scene for them and you can't do that easily if they are huge. It's the same as the HO scale trains...

    What’s your hobby

I was in 4H as a kid and from kindergarten to senior year, I sewed a full outfit and we had to turn it in for judging and then we had to model it. I never won but I’m so glad that I learned how to sew like that

I only ever learned to make a straight line so if anyone needs a crappy rope...

    Make steering wheel sportier

I wouldn’t object to having the on/off be on of the switches on the ceiling near the compass. Make it feel like you’re preparing for takeoff or something

    What’s your hobby

I make polymer clay sculptures. These are done with different colored clays, not paint (and yes, one of those light-bulb heads was the turn signal from my car). I mostly stopped when my lab burned down a few years ago but hope to start again if things ever calm down again.

The Garage (What did you work on today?)

the tempered glass screen on our wall oven shattered one night. Not being used at the time - oven was completely cold. We were in the living room and heard a huge pop and ran in to the kitchen to see it just completely shattered. Didn't fall out fortunately. No idea why it suddenly decided it...

Package options - what would you like bundled?

My sunglasses came in a metal case that looks kind of like a submarine. I keep it in the little pocket in the door. There’s an indent which I think is supposed to be another cup holder and it fits perfectly in there.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Again you’ve changed the topic of discussion. I was saying that the number of white collar workers that the white collar workers on here all know in total is more than the number you and your friends encounter through work. Those two articles are about the same survey which is interesting but...

We still outnumber that. Also consider that the white collar workers who would understand what you’re talking about might not be hiring you to do it for them. Your sample selection is biased.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

How is it that you, the self-admitted non-white-collar worker, knows more about what white collar workers can and can’t do than the actual white collar workers here who know and work with a whole bunch of other white collar workers? I don’t think I will trust you.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Now why be rude to people? I’m a scientist which I believe counts as white collar. I have: Installed the new sink in my kitchen Tiled the kitchen backsplash Replumbed the bathroom and kitchen Replaced two toilets Re-wired the laundry room so I could relocate the dryer Built a set of...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I don’t understand that statement. They set up a fund of X amount of dollars. The program would end in March of 2025 or whenever X dollars were spent. I don’t see how that relates to what you’re saying here

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

    So, March. Not September

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I don’t see any reports of that happening. I see where their program ran out of funding so it ended in January instead of March (it was planned to end in March or whenever it ran out of funds) but that’s the only one I see.
