  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Lol, I had totally typed up a response to his little poll only to delete it and move on with my evening. I had already told him when that Jay Leno interview first came out that he was silly to think they would release a full-size truck where it could only tow 5k. Like, in what world is any 1/2...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Yea, but most of those people won’t bother to read anything, or watch more than 3 minute video clips, lol. They’re the type of people who just eat up bad news from any source.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I wouldn’t take anything this guy posts too seriously. He’s still busy telling people the Harvester Terra will only tow 5k lb. Even though final specs are still not announced, and Jamie has said on this forum that they’re working to get higher numbers.

How would you build your Scout?

    The precious!? We needs it!

What Kind of Vehicle is Scout Actually Building? (and why that matters more than specs)

Long-term durability would be ideal to me. Yea, specs are great, but let’s be honest. Most people are unlikely to meet or exceed maximum specifications most of the time, especially when it comes to things like off-roading. I would rather have an enjoyable overall long-term ownership experience...

    Mapping the Distance From DCFCs

I think your most useful zoom in areas would be the areas that are more sparse. Say areas surrounding places like Yellowstone, or other national parks. Or basically just the western half of the US. These are the types of areas where Harvester is more desired I’m sure.

I agree, as much as I do love the round lights on the Bronco and the overall styling, I think it was the right choice from the design team to steer away from that.

It was supposed to be 8, but after several attempts I just figured, “whatever” hah

Jumping on the seasonal bandwagon as well. My personal ideal wintertime, haha. And now for the Wild Hunt… it’s coming.

I can’t be the only person who reads PBY as “peanut butter yellow”… right? Even though I know that’s not what’s meant it’s what I see every single time, lol.

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

I’m Terra Harvester. The thing that could sway me to BEV is final specifications and pricing. I wanted the Harvester mainly for towing purposes. I remember TFL doing a test with the Lightning maxing it out and only being able to go 89 miles… and that just would not do it for me. On the other...

    Initial Production Release

Exactly what I’ve been waiting for. I haven’t been too worried overall any direction until we have finalized specifications. Until then Harvester is my preference, but it could change.

I didn’t go as “wild”… but I might need to have a black truck with green lights now, lol.

lol! I’m glad someone else got that out of the photo. It was supposed to be downtown Galveston, TX, but apparently it decided Havana was close enough.

    EREV initial release only?

Range on towing is the other big consideration, BUT if the Harvester really couldn’t get above 5k then the compromise on range for the BEV would be preferred. If the EREV can do the full projected 10k, then that’s probably the one for me due to bigger range.
