  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Dog Friendly Features

I would definitely use it in mine with all the dog hair and other stuff that is likely to accumulate.

    Apreesh for the destination charger

The other thing is, aside from the actual installation cost, it probably isn't that expensive. A grocery store near me has free chargers with a 2 hour limit. I'm usually in and out way quicker than that, but even with 2 hours it's costing under $0.40 for a 2 hour charge on electric rates around...

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

Same on the tracked vehicle, you can see the rear wheel on the other side, so it just has the tracks on one side of the vehicle which might not work too well.

    Initial Production Release

For sure, I want a lot of good testing and good quality control once customer production starts.

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

I have no idea who this is either, I have ignored 2 people on this forum in total so I'm assuming they are possibly one of them.

Factory Pick Up - Cost and what does it include?

I think I'd want a factory tour and then an opportunity to have a go on the off road course, maybe gently if it's my own new truck and if the have a demo you can use instead then maybe a harder run.

It sure is, I don’t think I’ve ever felt as tired as I do right now lol.

    Scout Patents

I was thinking maybe it would have a special scented air freshener that would come out the vents when in baby changing mode lol.

In addition to Fozzie (our Giant Schnauzer), we also have Moo Moo who is a 13 year old Cocker Spaniel, and we recently got Pebbles the Golden Retriever who turned 12 weeks old yesterday.

Preparing an EV for a winter storm...

Traffic wasn't too bad when we there last year, it was the week before the ice festival so I think it was a little quieter since most were probably coming the following week. I think the most snow when we were there was 8" in one day. The coldest it got to was around a feels like of -34.

Preparing an EV for a winter storm...

I'm heading from PA to Quebec City and Montreal in 2 weeks so I'm imagining I'll probably be dealing with a bit of snow and cold on that trip. Hopefully not quite as cold as last year but we'll see. I enjoy driving in the snow, it's just the other drivers that are the concern, but it seems to be...

    Schnauzers of Scout Motors

Definitely not chocolate, although when I flew back to the UK the other year they did have some special doggy chocolate that was safe for dogs (I'm sure not made from real chocolate).

It was Fozzie’s 6th birthday today, so we got him a cake to celebrate! 🎉

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I think it's probably a mixture of all of them, and if they can get a good user experience for the same or lower price then people will use that instead. I mainly use Tesla superchargers (I own a Tesla) since I can just plug in and start charging without doing anything, but if Ionna can get the...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I’ve thought this would seem to be a fair way to do it as well. Remove gas tax and charge the same method for all vehicles. I don’t like the argument for weight on EVs because although my Tesla Model 3 is heavier than say a Toyota Corolla, it is still much lighter than a regular ICE F-150s or...

Good idea, level 2 will be all you need there. Arrive with 1% and by the time you’re done in the DMV it’ll be nearly at 100%.

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

I've noticed this on my wife's Kia Telluride, depending on how we've been driving, sometimes I fill up and it says the range is 415 miles, other times it's around 375 miles. We just fill when it's getting low, but when EVs do the same thing a lot of people comment on that or get worried about...
