  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

What's the deal with software issues in many newer expensive EVs?

I’m here to see everyone’s perspective on this because poor software can very quickly lead to an absolutely horrible end-user experience and vaporize any brand enthusiasm and loyalty that had been established.

    Possible competition?

Yeah, it makes me a touch worried about towing with the Harvester which I plan to do.

    Possible competition?

I was going to say they would likely just stuff an engine back under the hood since the whole thing with the Lightning was that it wasn’t a full clean slate design so it’s ready to accept an engine into the engine bay to fast track everything. R1TVT beat me to it though.

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

This adds some hope back to my fire regarding pricing. Thank you.

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of this. You make an excellent point.

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

Unless they actually use a more rubberized material in that area so it’ll grip things that are placed on it. That’d be my vote. Please please don’t make it slick plastic. Also as said before, please make them removable for cleaning. I don’t want to have to pressure wash my interior.

For anything that you want to yeet onto the floor while driving.

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

😯 Does this mean you may not participate if someone organizes trail rides like they always do with all of the other off road capable brands?

Disrupting the food truck scene. Onboard generator and all.

I’m pretty certain the angled storage to the rear of the cup holders is for phone charging. Ask anyone with a Rivian if the flat spot is good for charging while the vehicle is in motion…

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

We shouldn’t have to pull ourselves up and in with the steering wheel on the production models as I have a strong feeling there will be a matching A pillar grab handle for the driver’s seat. Although, I do not recall seeing @Jamie@ScoutMotors confirm this here in the community yet. Maybe I...

Ideas for the revamps and the Travelers Sister!

Excellent! Thank you so much for this, somehow I never came across that information so I didn’t realize (or remember?…it’s been a long week at work. Yes I’m aware it’s Monday :ROFLMAO:). Anyway, thank you for this. I would really appreciate it if they end up making the production version able...

Ideas for the revamps and the Travelers Sister!

True, I guess it depends on perspective. I had it in my head that this was a more street oriented version mainly because of the 22 inch wheels. I wouldn’t be comfortable taking 22s off road for a few reasons. I assume they will swap the 35 inch tires for 33s as well. I say perspective because...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

Same here. Everyone here is all but crushing my enthusiasm and my dreams. My budget will not extend this high. It sounds like I need to come to terms with reality.
