  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Accelleration

I think this is why I enjoy my TRX. It’s my daily driver, but it’s also the long road trip vehicle, it tows our pontoon boat, I take it hunting, and it’s extremely safe on bad roads. I think the Scout has a chance to be a lot of these things for folks. Spirited drives, off road adventure, and if...

    Accelleration

Like I said - I want to do this just once (or two or three times) before I die. Why? Because I’m a 12 year old at heart.

    Accelleration

I remember when 0-60 in under 5 seconds was fast. I think my 2010 Camaro SS was around 4.6 seconds. They claimed my 2016 Challenger Hellcat was under 4 seconds, but that car was so grossly under tired that around 4.3 was my best effort on a non prepped highway surface. My fastest time at 0-60...

    Slide In Camper Ready

TFL did a series a while back with their lightning and going to Alaska. They outfitted the Lightning with a camper, even though I believe Ford said not to. Anyway, it’s a pretty fun series to watch, and it might give you some ideas. Episode #1

What goodies have you gotten from a dealer/manufacturer after purchasing a car

From Ford and Ram I’ve gotten a couple hats. When I bought my 2016 Challenger Hellcat it came with a one day track experience at Bondurant in Arizona.

Thoughts on Long-Term Charging Plans for Overlanding and Rural Travel?

I agree 100%. I think for those who may wonder off the beaten path, the Harvester is a great solution.

    Blindspot Mirrors in Sideview Mirrors!

You’d hate the mirrors I have on my truck then. I really like them, but I can see how others would not if they were not used to them.

    Blindspot Mirrors in Sideview Mirrors!

Something like this along with blind spot monitoring would be good.

Poll: What Tires Do You Want To See On Your Scout?

The BFG KO2 or KO3 is a solid choice. I have the General Grabber A/Tx on my TRX and so far it’s really impressed me. Just give it to me with an 18” rim and not a 20” rim please!

    List Price

$50,000 is almost a good deal these days. If Scout can compete with the Wrangler Rubicon and the Bronco Badlands (both with Front/Rear Lockers and Disconnecting Sway Bar) and still come in at under $60,000, they have a good chance at selling a good margin of vehicles.

Most Iconic Location(s) for Scout Ads

I think the official range of the Harvester is up for debate. Some say you’ll have to charge along the way, some say it’s like an ICE vehicle where you can gas and go. We’re all still waiting on the official answer from Scout.

Bigger Gas Tank - 15 Gallons is Abysmal

My user name is really not all that deep. It comes from a lack of creativity back when I joined Dodge Talk and had a 2004 Ram 2500 Hemi. Again, I’m not that deep. Between that truck and now I’ve had a 2012 Ram Power Wagon (3/4 ton frame), a 2020 Ford Raptor, and now my Ram TRX. I’ve also had a...

Bigger Gas Tank - 15 Gallons is Abysmal

I get what you’re saying, especially about the Bronco forum and being on the sideline. I read a lot of the posts, and look for certain user names, but I don’t post much because I was never a Scout person from back in the day, and honestly, I’m not a big fan of EV’s. Scout has done something...

    Rethink Steering Wheel Design?

I think my last 5 vehicles have had the sunglasses holder. Not once have I used it. I’d rather have the compass.

    Lessons Learned on Range Anxiety

I’m pretty sure I’m still at Stage 1 :ROFLMAO: That said, this is why Scout is smart in offering the Harvester package. If I go through with my reservation, it will be a Harvester.
