    Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy.     The gears whining were because it’s a small temporary battery and Jay was basically running it beyond what was intended. Jamie mentioned that at some point. I’m sure the prototype isn’t fully insulated as it will be but guessing they know the Db levels from testing.

    We had the soft top and bad hinge joints were actually cutting through the canvas top. Had to dump it. Having seen the traveler twice in person I can say it is leaps and bounds better in finish. And having had a scout as first driver at 16 the new is the perfect evolution of the old Scout II’s...

    I agree. Guessing that’s why we need to bug them to load it with 33’s. The prototype is also set with a “lift” appearance so when dropped a bit-33’s may not look bad at all. Time will tell

    No. You deal with the out of state purchase and paperwork. When you get back to your home state you handle registration and fees as well as your state’s sales tax. Someone else may recall but the dealer may even process the registration for you to your own state but I’m blanking a bit-it was 15...

    I had an experienced friend tell me put cones outside garage when I leave to avoid hitting door. Best suggestion ever. Saved my butt a couple times over the years

    When I was doing a lot of road cycling I had an Acura tsx wagon and was the perfect vehicle for roof mounted bikes. I loved that car

    I say full bike mount on roof and throw a short step/ladder in car to reach and lift it down. Bikes on top will look bad a$$. Tough to get down but again-step stool it.

    I think this image exemplifies the scout. It’s upright and boxy like a true SUV but like the originals, it’s the perfectly soft creases and curves and rounded/bulbous shapes that just make it sexy and rugged at the same time. Suddenly I feel like Barry White should be playing in the background 🤣

    Still my favorite to date. Love that original Tahitian red update. But I know everyone is gonna pick that color. I hope I love every color SM throws out there-even gray-but I’m buying a color no matter what
