  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

One thing I will mention is that my plan from the get go is to compare the Terra Total EV to the Riven in 2028. If Rivian continues to add range and ev battery technology and SM puts to much energy into the Harvester and slacks on EV then I may go Riv.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

Totally agree as that is a worry of mine. I understand SM needs to sell what folks want but hopefully the Rivian influence will keep them focused on the latest and greatest technology for full ev vehicles.

We will see what happens as I hope you don't have to cancel.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

I hear you. My plan is to add topper to my Terra and it will look like a suv. How much does your trailer weight loaded?

What do you all do? Curious about Scout buyers occupations, or former occupations.

Beer question sorry as it's off topic. So the goofy laws here in Utah won't let breweries sell any beer in kegs over 5%. So all breweries have to can or bottle there beer and sell it at State run liquor stores. So if a brewery has a bar they can only sell 5% beer on tap. Same for any bar owner...

I am in multi-level vitamin sales. Its a great deal if anyone wants to DM me I can start you in our pyramid. You know if you sign up five of your best friends then they sign up five of thier best friends i make money while you do all the work. Haha just kidding. Its a Utah thing. I started a...

All EV/BEV needs its own name!

For some reason BEV is just not obvious. In a world full of fricking acronyms it just is not clear enough.

    Off Road Performance

Trust funder. Just kidding I am jealous as I was given the keys to a 1976 VW rabbit on my 16th birthday. Not quite as manly to say the least. Not to sound like a fan boy but the whole rebirth thing is part off road but off road on new electric vehicle technology. I feel like Scout should not go...

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

The launch addition quad motor Rivian with air suspension are very impressive off road vehicles.

    Trailer Options?

This is a bit dated and great to show several off-road trailers but these are all very small and for 3,500 pound towing capacity Jeep wranglers and I only mention this because worst case senirio the Harvester Scouts will be able to handle hardsided standups with interior wet bath and gray and...

    Harvester towing

I am hopeful they can get to these numbers

    Harvester towing

Nothing has been confirmed but my guess is the Terra harvester will have a higher towing capacity
  17. BartMan Terra Total EV

    Harvester towing

Gotcha. With the Harvester being behind the rear axel it is inevitable that both models will loose ratings compared to the total ev. It is what it is even though the "is" is not in stone. In my book the Scout is an off-road vehicle and should only worry about pulling an off-road trailer which...

    Harvester towing

Keep in mind that you will need a 10,000 rating to handle your trailer. An ICE 1/2 ton is barley enough to handle 8,200 lb trailer especially in mountain terrain
  19. BartMan Terra Total EV

    Harvester towing

IMAO a trailer needs tongue weight to keep it from swaying. The placement of the axel or axles on the box and the water tanks all play in the balance equation. If a trailer is loaded to 8,500 lbs there needs to be a least 800 on the tonge regardless of self purpoltion. The lightship and the...
