  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Will Scout offer a computer controlled air oil suspension

I apologize in advance if this is a redundant thread. Have there been any hints on upgrade? I am learning more and more every day and this aspect is going to be a must have for me.

Is there anything that would make you switch from the BEV to the EREV?

Great post. Another thing to consider is the EREV customer seem like they were expecting that the BEV were going to be first so they will likley not be as bummed as us BEV customer will be if the EREV come first.

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

Is there anything that would make you switch from the BEV to the EREV?

I would switch if they designed the generator to slide in and out of the bed of the Terra. And switched it to solar panel powered instead of gas. All while keeping the 350 mile battery. In other words no 😉

Yes a lot more responsible. In all the information I have absorbed neither Rivian or Chevy have ever mentioned a reduction in capacity without a wdh. That is exactly what I have set up an articulating hitch for off-road and a standard hitch for highway high speed travel. My trailer is light...

I see it every fricking day out here in the wild west. Off and on road travel trailer dealers sell thier rigs and market thier rigs to folks who do not have the tongue weight capacity to handle said rigs. So even the Terra BEV will liklely not be able to handle trailers with articulating hitches...

Jaime your are so correct. I think a lot of folks that are disappointed about the towing capacity of the Harvester models just do not realize that they really need a 3/4 ton truck to pull thier heavy boats. Cars or trailers. To my knowledge non of the EV trucks on the market are 3/4 ton. This is...

This is very interesting. I had no idea the tow rating and tongue weight capacity were so low on the Ford 150 without a WDH. In the smaller off road world trailer WDH cannot be used with articulating hitchs. Some of these off road trailers with articulating hitch carry a tounge weight of 900 to...

Typicaly it is the tounge weight that causes one to be over thier towing capacity. Its all part of the equation

I do realize Scout has never indicated it would go higher then 350. Since we are several years from release, Chevy getting close 500, Riven at 420 and both offering different levels of battery size i was hoping a max battery option could get it to 400.

I can think of a couple of people. Hope I am not bumming said people out by beating the dead horse. My hope is SM devolps a max pack battery that will keep all the trailer folks in the beloved SM fold.

Don't mean to beat a dead horse and I realize this subject is based on rumors but.... Like I mentioned before my fear of SM "alleged " plan to dely the BEV means the range and battery size will not get over 400. I also wonder how many Harvester reservation will switch or get canceled if the...

I believe new quad motor riv with max pack is 125k +. So offering what I suggest would put the scout around 95k for top tier model.

Interesting hopefully more then 350. I just don't think thats enough especially for the Terra. I bet that is why the Harvester is appealing to so many. You would think that Scout could match Riv as the riv has more ground clearance. My guess is a max pack battery option would need air...

Not sure this is the correct string to post the following. My hope from the get go was that the BEV models would get up to 420 mile range by relese time. But now with all the talk about the Harvester models releasing first I wonder if resources will go with those models and improving the range...
