  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Ideas for the revamps and the Travelers Sister!

Something more white that might shift to a silver or blue based on the light

Ideas for the revamps and the Travelers Sister!

It would be cool to see the Terra in more of a street spec, with aero wheels, a tonneau cover on the bed, maybe with adventure rails over the top, in a silver/blue-white color (something icy)

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

As far as ramp up time we’ll just be waiting to see, but I just don’t think it matters whether they prioritize EREV‘s over BEV‘s because I doubt the amount of reservations they have will translate into the exact amount of orders they will take from reservation holders. I could be wrong and for...

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

this doesn’t seem like much of an issue to me based solely on the numbers we know. If I’m not mistaken, the expected number of vehicles the factory should be able to pump out in a year is 240,000+\-, the reported number of reservations that’s floating around is 130,000 roughly 80% of which is...

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

Yeah not sure what’s happening here

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

It's not quite the same (thanks, Gemini) but I love the idea regardless, though I can't say I'd be tempted to buy

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

Pointless and maybe impractical, but I would love to see the tire carrier/backpack on the terra

One Giant Leap Into the World of EV Ownership

I hope the flip-up door stays, and I personally like the exterior power bank and hope the idea of the Power-port stays very similar to how it is now. I hope bed outlets are more optional, and with a 240 (which I would definitely spring for on the rare chance I need it)

One Giant Leap Into the World of EV Ownership

We've seen that the charge port door is intended to flip upwards, though, would that be enough? We don't get much snow here in Middle Tennessee (though we also garage the car, and the scout might just fit) or at my parents' in Alabama, we've yet to take my car to Illinois in the winter months...

    Service Center

If they build them right, hopefully the only service needed would be tire rotations and changes, which there should be numerous other places capable of doing. I have two tire specialists, 4 massive service centers (GM, Ford, Dodge, and Kia), and 6 of those oil and services places within 10 miles...

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

I agree with you, as someone that will loosen my grip through\after a turn and just let the wheel straighten out, before gripping down again it looks like have to learn a new way to drive. These shapes also look like they would lend themselves really nicely to drive-by-wire (with four wheel...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I’ve not watched the interview, but I could swear Jamie said the plan was 2+ so that might be possible though software down the line, it looks like there’s an eye tracker on the wheel column, which suggests the intention for hands free driving to some extent

Rivian just announced new Ai chip for level 4 autonomous driving

Having used GMs super cruise a couple of times, it’s something I wish my car had, after driving all day long stretches on the interstate being able to stretch and massage the wrists/arms is a nice break

    Harvester Battery Size

For a little over a year I only charged on L1 but have had a L2 the entire time, but the first install estimate was $3K and at the time a 12-24 hours for a charge was manageable, but back in September I started driving a lot more for work again, I called the electrician recommended by Chevrolet...

    Scouts for tall people

From what I’ve seen of the concept truck, there seems to be full adjustments on both sides of the center seat/console, with the center itself being “planted” with a drawer underneath, which would make sense in a modern style, however you only get one shallow shoulder bolster per side

    Scouts for tall people

I’m 6’5 I was feeling the same way then a week ago I found a video of someone 6’4 sitting in the Terra, and it looked decently roomy. I’d link the video if I could remember who uploaded it, but hopefully fully adjustable seats can help with most issues in the production builds. Here’s hoping...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

As someone who drives all day, I do occasionally miss the double, but I also only ever put my visor when it's needed, I hate having it open and it does, unfortunately often block traffic lights when at the front of the pack. I wouldn't mind seeing them, but it's not a big deal if they don't come...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

It's the same as a normal visor, just with a smaller one underneath

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

with a starting price of 60k in the 2020s power everything is a reasonable expectation to me, on an EV having heated seats should also be standard since it’s more energy efficient to heat your seat than run the hvac, and the cameras if it’s loaded with them we should be able to access them as...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

I feel like people just wanna complain, I might not be that old, but I grew up in older vehicles with manual windows, seats, mirrors, there’s zero reason these things shouldn’t be standard on modern vehicles, I drive a 22 but still have manual seats, so I don’t get the seat memory, which is...
