  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Will there be toys?

    At what scale though? Rivian (blue) - Match box F-150 - 1:27 H3T - 1\26 R1T (white) - 1:20

Ideas for the revamps and the Travelers Sister!

I feel like it would be a solid roof, LR tires and no external accessories or air compressor in the frunk

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

I do think it’s also important to remember we don’t know how scouts customization, trim level levels, or packages will work. Again, I hope they go more of the Rivian route however, if you come from a legacy manufacturer like Ford or Chevrolet, when you build and price your own, there are tons of...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

I agree with you. In my mind until it is stated otherwise by scout I like to imagine that they will be very similar to Rivian where package or trim levels will probably be more orientation towards certain use cases, camping and off-roading VS. Grocery getting or worksites. At least as of right...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

It really just depends, at the end of the day something’s have to get cut for savings on the lower end, my car retailed at $33k (22 Bolt EUV) it can easily get up to 300 miles range but EPA estimates 246, but for that price point you don’t get; heated seats or steering wheel, pouches on the back...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

At $60,000 I would like to imagine a bass version, would include the majority of everything we’ve seen maybe some lower end materials on the seats and dash, but the screen in UX would be the same heated/ventilated seats might be removed, but hopefully a heated steering wheel would remain. I...

    Will there be toys?

I got a white 1:20 scale R1T as an early Christmas gift to use as my savings reminder, and I it’s really nice. I think they cost $80-90 but only come in green or white, I’d definitely pay more to have matching model of the scout I purchase, even more so if it comes with the accessories

    Will there be toys?

If it was an option at purchase what would you pay for a model of your scout, with color matched paint and possibly the accessories? 1:20 - 1:27 scale

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

It is unfortunate that new vehicles cost what they do, especially when you consider out the door depreciation. The only reason I’m willing to consider up to $90,000 for a new vehicle is owning a brand new vehicle is something I’ve been trying to achieve since I was 14 and started saving money...

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

I would hope that scout takes more of the Rivian approach. Where the majority of the vehicle will be the same across all trim unlike the Silverado where if you take a step down, you get a very plastic vehicle with smaller screens. I also don’t think remote start is much of a thing for EV‘s I...

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

For me anyway the alternative is a $92K Silverado and that if the dealer would order it and not gouge me for it

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

Same boat, I’ve used GMs super cruise before in a borrowed vehicle and loved it (mostly) but at the end of the day I still love driving, however for me I drive it more than 100 miles a day usually closer to 200+ once on a long stretch of bland highway the ability to relax a little and let some...

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

I guess that depends on if it’s more like legacy builders, like GM where there’s tons of options and packages that add and remove things. Like my car had a “convenience” package that add rear cup holders and seat storage, or “sun and sound” upgrades speakers, sun roof, and proper in car GPS...

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

Not BEV specific, but it would be a cool Easter egg to have the original scout somewhere within the vehicle as a side or front profile at line and etched into something

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

The tool box looks good interesting, and if it mounts on the rails in the bed I might actually be willing to buy one in the end, but I’ve come to prefer a good bed over that seals and locks stuff in the bed, but the swing out from the traveler could look good on the Terra and useful for...

Ideas for the revamps and the Travelers Sister!

It’s pretty hard to imagine being that disappointed if you’re coming into the new scouts with an open mind and aren’t overly fussed by modern hardware (screens instead of dials). And for me the Terra’s last outing in silo green was almost perfect. Could take or leave the push bar, and would...

Ideas for the revamps and the Travelers Sister!

Yeah something that’s not just white, but has some deeper hues in in right light, and an ice white on street spec would look pretty good IMO

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

Exactly! The main thing I'm trying to say, is that I don't fully agree with the "dooming" about scout prioritizing EREV over BEV. I do think Scout will prioritize every Reservation that becomes an order whether that's 10K or 200K Those are all real customers with money on the table, and making...

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

It was said in an interview, not sure which one though, but I want to say it was more recent
