  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Even if they're referring to it as a next generation lightning, it doesn't make it feel any less like a product cancelation. If there will not be a full battery electric version going forward. Plus they're are shutting down production, the next gen F-150 won't require a full on shutting down for...

Scout Motors Proactive Measures to Reduce Consumers' EV Auto Insurance?

Maybe someone with Gen1 EV (Rivian Tesla GM ect.) experience can shed some light here, but aren't first gens typically more expensive on insurance due to the lack road presence and availability or knowledge. Which some of that might be offset if they offer their own in house insurance, I know we...

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

I got the term from an old owners manual and it’s just stuck with me. “Push the stalk away until it locks for high beams, or pull it towards to flash the light horn”

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

It seems that way, but since automatic lights and rain sensors are common it’s not all that much to fiddle with. When I drove the EDVs they were never something we drivers had to get used to

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

If it’s similar to Rivian and GM, your right stalk up and down will be your forward and reverse pulling it to you will be neutral and pressing the button on the end will be park. You could also push or pull the left stalk in the EDV for the “light horn” with a button on the end for windshield...

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

The Rivian EDVs have the same amount of controls on left stalk. Though your wipers and lights are automatic unless you changed them to manual so for the most part, you’re only using it for turn signals.

    FB find of the day

I can kinda see it, but the upper right would be the blue of the flag, so it’s border line upside down. So I would say it’s not intended to feel like the flag

    CYURE GOES TO CHICAGO 12/10/2025

I’m surprised there’s not molle panel under the lid aswell given how many there are everywhere else

    Possible competition?

Just to confirm, I went back and checked the launch event if you jump to 38 minutes, the harvester is announced
  10. RodorW

    Possible competition?

what exactly does this mean? Scout came out day one in Tennessee with harvester variant on the table

What's the deal with software issues in many newer expensive EVs?

I don’t think my car has had an update since I’ve had it, I could be wrong but every time I check for Updates in the software it says it’s up-to-date. But in the 18 months I’ve had it. I’ve only had two strange experiences. Both were within the last five months. The first thing was 8 PM. I was...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

It does, we’ve walked out to grab something from the freezer or toolbox and it occasionally it will just power up for 1-3 minutes. In terms of daily use the engine might get used once a week while being driven home.

    Possible competition?

the first comment I saw under that TFL video was someone saying they preferred the lightning as a full electric and mentioned something about the frunk. The only reply to it was the frunk will be lost for the engine, purely based on what ram has decided to do. It makes sense to leave the engine...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

our volt rarely runs on gas, but very few days it cycles the engine while siting in the garage, I imagine scout and other ERVEs will do something similar, but when it kicks on it could also just be feeding the battery for a few minutes at a time

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

You get the convenience and power of an EV, with Range of and ICE. But you also get the cost associated with file and maintenance of ICE, potentially increased tire care schedule of some EVs and possibly concerns of battery degradation. As a BEV owner I’m not worried about battery degradation...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

The issue isn't that people don't want Electric cars, they can just get them at a better value off the used market. And then these massive companies don't try to help weed out the misinformation that's out there. When the Lightning launched the local Electric company bought a fleet of them...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

EREVs should have come first, because for most, all it will do is act as a gateway into BEVs, or they will be treated like PHEVs, never charged how they should be, run by gas only, and leave people with a confused outlook on EVs, all the cost of fuel and maintenance, but with a battery. It's...

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

When people say base or stripped, I keep coming back to the difference in Legacy brands and new brands. While Scout has a legacy for all intents and purposes, this is a new brand. using words like "trim" and "package" carry a certain connotation with them in the auto industry. So here's a visual...

    Will there be toys?

From my understanding Lego usually scales around 1:12-1:14 scale but that would be an awesome shelf piece! We have a wrangler and 911 Turbo but with light kits so I can’t really move them others would have included them in the scale comparisons
